Well, it is the official motto of the United States Marine Corps (adopted in 1883) it is abbreviated from "Semper Fidelis" which is Latin for "Always Faithful". So it is the United States Marine Corps motto, just as "Qua Patet Orbis" is the motto of the Dutch Marines. Hope that answers your question!
Thanks for the translation. I would like to learn Dutch one day, always have (well that German, Polish and maybe Russian) I also would like to visit Nederland... Noord-Holland and go to Amsterdam and well eh...you know! And Aruba would be sweet!
Well I'm from New Jersey(Its a state)most of the people in this state including me have a strong dislike for Bush(our president). So you say German and Dutch are close, can you make out what a German person is saying? I know both your languages are different in spelling and writing (ä,ö,ü,ß you may have trouble reading). And yes, I am still planning to enlist (unless a very cool job comes up that pays a sh*t load of money!) I think my life could be very dull otherwise and feel like I missed something.
Yep when i hear german i can't understand alittle what theire saying, but still they have a way of talking that i don't understand all the things. When i was in the first grade we where taught dutch, and now i'm 16 in the 10 grade an i can speak dutch perfectly , and all are test and exams are in dutch.
How many language do you know??? i know 5 and its all easy for me...and all the people here nows 4 to 5 languages.
Ps i don't like bush either. and how old are you???
Nice talking to you bro
