Hi. I got given some German Cutlery recently from World War 2 and engraved on the back is "F B C M 41". I've looked for some answers as to what these figures mean but haven't been successful. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Thanks.

Benny, what are those things in detail?
i'd like to know more of them! Big Grin

Let's see..... F B C M hmmm i haven't got an idea to be honest, but '41 is defenatly the production year. FBCM could be the inscribings the factory made? or the soldier who owned them? who knows?

is there any WaffenAmpt on it? then we could date the date and year, or sometimes even the exact date of creation!

Thanks for helping Red. I just managed to separate all the cutlery because i didnt manage to before. Enscripted on the knife is:
FR. BURBERG & CO.A.-G.
METTMANN-SOLINGEN

I suppose that answers my question, sorry.
I'll see what I can find on this. Any help would be great. Thanks.
