Hi

At Omaha Beach there were no such bunkers as in SPR or MOHAA, altough trough these movie and game we were shown that massive bunkers defended the beach.
There were concrete emplacments of course, but not even close to the size shown in the Movie.
The bluff was a perfect defense as it is, plus Trenches gave it much more defense.
I am sure there were deep concrete dugouts as well.
But imagine this:
You running trough 100-200 meter of beach under MG fire and artillery facing an enemy dug in high up on a pretty steep Bluff. It was a carnage as we all know.

gustace is right. MOH really overdid their bunkers on Omaha, they were waaaayy too big. Although SPR's bunker was smaller than the ones in MOH, it still is bigger than the bunkers you would have seen on Omaha.

The most annoying innaccuracies in both IMOH and SPR is that there's no sea wall, instead there's a sand dune that they call a seawall

The sea wall at omaha and utah were made up of shingle (pebbles) wich had been washed up by the tide. The germans usually tended to fortify these with barbed wire, tank traps etc. At juno beach (canadian beach landing) there was no shingle, it was sandy and not very well fortified, the beach just went straight onto buildings and they got inland first as a result. off topic soz. When you go nowadays to Omaha you don't see any thing that looks likes the extremely high bunkers from spr or moh.

I keep telling you guys, there was a double-embrasured bunker on the bluffs at Dog Green Beach. It looked like the one from SPR, but about half the size, and it was on top of the bluff not in front of it.
