Would like to start a thread to get info about WW2 movies I have not seen. Not the big ones like Band of Brothers or Stalingrad wich we probaly all have seen.

So do you think you know about a movie that is unknown to most people? Pls reply

(Moderator, pls move this to the general forum if Im off topic here)

I think the movie you're thinking about is called "Sahara" There are two versions, one from the late 40's with Humphrey Bogart as the "hero", and one movie from 1990 something, I can't remember who's acting in it though

Regarding the movie "Sahara" the remake is from 1995 starring James Belushi, I like both the original and the remake.

Other WWII movies I would recommend are "Tora Tora Tora" "Ironcross" "Battle for Midway" not so good,

Check out "A Dark Blue World", a recent WWII film done in Czechoslovakia. Great Spitfire footage.

Saving Pvt. Ryan...

or it is : Searching for the Private Ryan
or the right one is: Saving Private Ryan

I don't know the right one. But the story is really really good and amazing.I still want to watch it again and again. The image of the game above the site is really the same commander of the rescue team ! .I think The story in this movie exactly.
