Yeah it should be amazing!!! i dont think it will be as good as BoB tho, but should be awesome! its based on the six soldiers who raised the american flag at Iwo Jima.

agreed. but i think the one your talking about, the one about the six soldiers who raised the flag, that is Flags of Our Fathers with is on that site and is on pre-production as well. The Pacific War is based on many many people i believe. but who cares its gonna be great!

It would be sweet if they made it a true strory like the first one, real people, the real battlegrounds and such.
Were gonna see alot of amphibous landings, cool.
I saw a program named shooting war all authentic films of real battles, One of the battles was that they where like fighting a few japs and one of them ran to get cover and the american dude shot with his B.A.R I was like omg , and there where a few more films in the european theatre too.

The new BoB (albeit not called that) is based on a true story. as far as i am aware (dont quote me) its about the six soldiers who put up the american flag at the top of Iwo Jima. saw it on a site...ill get the link.

Yeap thats great news i always loved BOB and got the dvd set, and got hbo just to watch it. This one is supposed to biggest and most expensive mini-series every produced for Television and i hope they use the money well. hmm gonna have to get Hbo again...

Nope, the movie you're thinking of is Flags of Our Fathers. The Pacific Mini series that were talking about follows a USO group throughout the PTO(Pacific Theatre of Operations). And they meet several different soldiers and it tells their story. Although, Iwo Jima might be in the new mini series, but only a small portion if so.

I'll quote you anyway , it would be pretty cool if they did that, follow the story of the americans that raised the flag, but one prob nearly al of them died afterwards..
I saw a documentary on iwo jima and when they showed how they raised the flag , i got like goosebumbs, eventhough i'm not an american.

I have a feeling that after "Flags of Our Fathers" releases a lot of Iwo Jima games will come out soon after. The same thing happend with SPR and BOB. That'd be something different.
