put in another gig of ram and it should run alot better. what is a pentium D a celeron? cheap version? single core problably..... GRAW runs alot better on dual cores, maybe you shoulod upgrade if you have the funds, but beware you can spend alot of money on constant upgrades a whole new system might be a better shot.... (and don't buy dell HP and other brands which use outdated/custom build hardware)

I have the same problem. Only I experience it in the coop mode only. I get about 1 min into a coop game with my friends and my screen freezes up but I can still hear all the action including my weapon firing and running around. I have a P4 2.8, 1 Gig RAM, GeForce 6800 ultra PCI express SB audigy 2 and a 10 MB DSL connection. I only experience this in Coop though. I haven't had any trouble anywhere else. Yes My comp is a Dell and so is my friends who has no problems. Although I appreciate the previous responses to the original poster I don't think buying a new computer or upgrading 1 that is barely a year old is truely the answer here. There has to be some underlying issue here. Any other suggestions are of great help. I would like to play the coop mode as well sometimes. Also I had the same issue with Graw 1 BTW I am running the latest drivers for my GForce card as well as the latest version of the game.

Well to be honest:
- GRAW is coded for multicore processors (dual or quad) so single cores have a tough time
- though 1 gig ram should work 2 is adviseable because of background running progs eating up memory
- a geforce 6800 with 256 mb is barely sufficient to run the game, it will work, but when the rest of the hardware is on the minimum side it might not work well enough. And I know how fast computers get old. That is the main reason you shouldn't buy dell/hp mostly they have a budget videocard, and the main-board is custom built so upgrading, or even putting extra hardware in can be vary difficult, and again I know, my last pc was a fujitsu-siemens of barely 1,5 years old whith a crashed mobo.... $200 for repair or $500 for a new rig, I chose for the last one first and repaired my old rig later..... (will be a gameserver/video-recorder soon)
Though bulding your own pc/having it built might be a bit more expensive/difficult the end result is a lot better than most factory-pc's and especially from dell or hp buy those alone for office apps, for games they are unsuiteable, even if they are sold as multimedia/game-rigs.....

Ok I can buy some of what you are saying but if I can play every other aspect of the game without any problems whatsoever then why woould it just be in the COOP mode?? Any ideas other than new stuff for my comp. Maybe Bueler Bueler Bueler anyone know the answer?? LOL Maybe some file problem or some file missing. I thought maybe someone had the same problem and knew how to fix it.

Here's another thing oh and Forrester i do appreciate at least your posting suggestions. I am not sure if your a programmer for the game or not or just some guy trying to help but other suggestion especially from their Tech support could help. But here in lies my problem with this. My system ran a check every one of those checks came back with a green check mark which means my system is compatable and works. Secondly on the box it does not say Dual core ****. So as far as I am concerned thats false advertising and unless these guys offer up s better suggestion than thanks for buy our game but in order to play it you need this this that that and the other thing for it to remotely play If thats the case I believe that i should get my money back unless 1 of them gives me a good suggestion to fix this issue. Otherwise I would like my $50 back ................

no I'm not a programmer, I'm just a fanboy trying to help peeps.
don't believe that system check up prog... it cannot tell a dual core from a single, and graphic drivers that are up to date get a not up to date note sometimes..... my processor wouldn't be fast enough when I ask that prog, and I'm sure even my old amd x2 3800 will run the game....
Try the ghostrecon.net forum, that's were the grin people hang out, they know the game (better than ubi support, those are just simple helpdesk people....sorry for them but it is that way, I never had any help from them.... and putting a second gig ram helped me with my graw1 problems were they told me to re-install my whole system....lol)

Can you back up that statement with some reference from UBI considering that it does not state that in the manual??

I have a problem also with GRAW1 stuttering...

Yup, it crashes on me too. I get a few minutes into a mission and it stops and dumps me back at the desktop. Also, sound cuts in and out all the time. Upgraded to patch 1.02 but no help there. I wish at least Ubisoft paid me to be a beta tester. Sheesh.

XP 3200+ (2.2 Ghz)
Abit NF7-s Motherboard
2GB Mushkin DDR400 memory
Sapphire X1950Pro 512mb AGP on CAT 7.7 drivers
Viewsonic VG2230wm LCD (run at 1680x1050)
Hercules Fortismo II sound card.
Antec Truepower 430w
250gb Seagate SATA HDD with DVD and CDRW drives
WINXP Pro SP2

All other games play fine including Silent Hunter 4.

Hi Guys:

I have the same problem, just nicely get into a mission and the game shrinks to my tool bar on my desktop. You can still hear the game until you try to expand it again, then you get black screened while you're being picked off by the bad guys. I'm running an ASUS A8N32 SLI Delux motherboard with an AMD Athlon 64 processor 3800+ 2.41GHz with 2.00 GB of Ram. This didn't start happening right away, I got up to the Border Crossing at the end of the campaign before it started, now, I'm playing it again on a hard setting. Any thoughts? Sure be nice to hear from someone from GRIN or UBISOFT! Oh yeah, I'm running a Geforce 7950GT overclocked version

I have the same issue, randomly it drops me back to the desktop and displays debug info.

My PC is
XP 3200+ (2.2 Ghz)
ASUS K8N-E Deluxe Motherboard
1GB memory
Sapphire X1950Pro 512mb AGP on CAT 7.7 drivers
WINXP Pro SP2
GRAW2 updates to 1.02
I also run Zone Alarm and AVG

The problem started slow and seemed to get much worse...possibly as I got further into the game.

I am in the process of reloading the game from scratch. I have already cleaned house to ensure a clean start to eliminate that.

I have a dual core and the install prog came back with a red X saying that my machine did not meet req for processor and FPS are awful. Must be my Video card NVidia 6100. PC was off the shelf at Best Buy for $800. Guess a need to upgrade with a $500 Graphics card Smile

2.2 GHz AMD Athalon 64 X2 4200 dual core
