Okay, after 2 days of trying to solve this I really need help!!

When installing GRAW2 the detection at the end of the installation process is aborted with the following error message:

"The detection failed please check log."

The config.log states this:

[18:44:46] -Detection::Application- Clearing result database.
[18:44:46] -Detection::Application- Running tests...
[18:44:49] -Detection::TestManager- Test(ID=1287583804 Name=DX Version Test Version=1) ran with success.
[18:44:50] -Detection::TestManager- Test(ID=700232323 Name=DX Misc Test Version=1) ran with success.
[18:44:50] -Detection::TestManager- Test(ID=786168059 Name=Base System Test Version=1) ran with success.
[18:44:50] -Detection::TestManager- Test(ID=1435856113 Name=CPU Test Version=2) ran with success.
[18:44:50] -Detection::TestManager- Test(ID=1260301366 Name=Regional Settings Test Version=1) ran with success.
[18:44:50] -Detection::Application- Finished running tests.
[18:44:50] -Detection::Application- Interpreting results...
[18:44:50] -Detection::Application- This exception should have been caught in the interpreter!
[18:44:50] -Detection::Application- Detection failed!

When I try to start the game I get the well-known
"Crash in application: version depending on the patch I installed" (I already tried the patches)
Failed setting up render device.
Renderer: threaded
Physics: threaded

My specs:

Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit
AMD Athlon 64 6000+
4 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HIS X1950XT (<--- newest drivers already installed)

I really don't know what else to try... please help!!
