Hi, I keep getting an error. Specifically, it's a 'feature transfer error'.

Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

I tried to install the game in 'Safe Mode' - didn't work. Also, I checked the patch for the game (which is somewhere available on this site), but it said nothing about fixing the error that I keep encountering.

I came across a downloader (from a thread) that would supposedly check whether my computer would support installing this game. I got a pass.

Any recommendations? I understand my information may be blunt, but what I can confirm is the following:

4GB RAM available, 200GB storage space accessible, suitable graphics card, sound card, peripherals are good (mouse and keyboard), running WinXP, got decent Internet connection, quadcore processor, DVD reader which is Optiarc DVD RW AD-7170A.

Anyone got any ideas I can try? It would be a great help.
