Hi Guys
I am having problems with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 on PC. I keep getting this message after about 15 minutes of playing the game: Crash in application version: 30899.3048 Unhandled exception - access violation C STACK: atiumdag (???) : gfxInitInteropServices Renderer: threaded Physics : threaded I really don't know what the problem is. I guess it is either vista or possibly crossfire that is causing the problem. My setup is: -Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit -Intel E8500 (3.17 GHZ) -Dual ATI 3870 (in crossfire mode) -4GB DDR2-1066 MHZ RAM -Asus Maximus II Formular Mobo -SupremeFX X-FI sound card I have all of the latest drivers including the newest ATI 9.1 drivers. I have tried running in compatability mode for XP SP2 and I have also tried running as administrator. I have installed the latest 1.05 game update. Thanks for any help. |

hello ibulleti
Yes I did manage to fix the crashing. I had to set it to run in compatability mode for XP SP2 (I assume you are using Vista) and I also must run it as administrator each time I want to play. I understand if you don't know much about computers so I have included some instructions. 1: You need to go to where the game is installed, which is most likely C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 2. right click on graw2.exe and go to properties 3. go to the compatabilty tab 4. tick the box next to "Run this program in compatabilty mode for:" and select Windows XP (Service pack 2) 5. Also tick the box next to "Run this program as an administrator" 6. Close the boxes and folders and you should be able to play the game ok now, when you start the game you wil get a box asking you to allow admin access to this game so just select accept each time. I hope this works for you as it did work for me. NOTE: you will most likely lose your save data of this game but if you are having this problem then you probably haven't got very far anyway. |

Say, I'm using XP SP2 and having the f*cking same problem... what should I do?
I'll describe my problem: It all started with a problem with visual C++ runtime library. I can't play ANY missions! the game last only about 10 seconds and the error pops on the screen. By a unknown reason, I CAN play multiplayer games, including the coop missions. I tried everything I could to solve the problem. I also installed the newest patch 1.05. And now, I got the error: Crash in application version: 30899.3048 Unhandled exception - access violation C STACK: graw2 (???) : ??? graw2 (???) : ??? graw2 (???) : ??? graw2 (???) : ??? Renderer: threaded Physics : threaded The game now simply crashes! I'm stuck on the 'Codename Farralon' mission. My PC is a: Intel Core2 Duo @ 2.24Ghz 2Gb DDR2 Windows XP Prof. SP2 NVIDIA 8500GT 512Mb Also have a 160Gb HD |

Hello Fkazou
When you had that problem with visual C++, did you get the latest version for it? You could also try getting service pack 3 for your XP. You should also use the latest graphics card driver if your not already. I guess all you can do is update all of your drivers and software. I'm sorry I can't help any more than that. |

I tried disabling the Physics and now the game runs good... no crashes until now... but I'll try later turning the Physics high again and see what happens.
Thank you! =D |
