I'm having the same problem but with GRAW2. I purchased the CD/DVD, and when I try to play the tutorial, after 1 or 2 minutes, my PC shuts down to a point that the only way to make it reboot is by unplugging the power cable for 10 secs, and then plug it back in again. I know for a fact that the shutdowns are not due to overheating, nor to hardware failure, because I have software monitoring temperatures at all times, and I play Crysis on High settings, without a single problem.
My PC has: - Phenom x4 9850 Black Edition OCed to 3.2GHZ - 2 Sapphire HD4850 1GB-256 bit, in crossfire mode, with Catalyst 9.5 installed. - Mushkin 4GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
BigGunDaddy Your power supply in the computer could be faulty. I had a similar problem with my old computer, I played Company Of Heroes for about 5 mins and then my computer shut down. Found out my power supply was faulty.
The PC turning itself off is related to hardware. Software crashes will not cause a system to reboot, unless you consider drivers running hardware as a software crash.
You might want to reseat your video card and update the drivers for the video card and sound card.
