I get the following error when I try to install GRAW on my PC. I'm well within the specs that's required and my internet connection is working fine for me to post here.

"Setup has experienced an error.

Please do the following:
- Close any running programs (after fresh reboot)
- Empty your temporary folder (cleared out internet temps + %temp% folders)
- Check your Internet connection (Internet-based Setup)

Then tr to run the Setup again.

Error code: -6001"

How do I fix this problem?

I too had this very problem. I asked about it in the PC Forum and here was the solution given to me:

Delete the contents of
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Installshield

Once that is done reinstall and it should work great. Thumbs Up

Hope that helps!

I know. I was in the same position- I was just talking to one of the other guys here saying "you know, I'd really like to be able to go onto the forums and be able to say to the dev's "you know what guys, you did it right this time... thank you!"

Then of course I was off to a bad start- I'm glad you guys figured that stuff out and that I came in here to check... Anyone reading this thread, just make sure you do both of the above steps!

Haven't started playing yet, but I'm still hoping to send that message!

I cannot delete the folder, it says I do not have the rights to do this (I am system Admin)

Also I really fail to see how this has to do with the install Sheild and not the exe itself.

The installer is running off install sheild 7, while my current version is 11.5

So how do I fix this 6001 install problem?

Sorry for my little "Me speak english good" post one above me, was a little tired.

I found that I could not delete the install sheild folder because it said a file in it was write protected/In Use and I did not have enough access to delete it... even though I was the Computer Admin.

Well in case anyone else is having that problem I saw on the Computer Forum section a way to fix it.

If you can't delete the install sheild folder (usually c:/Program Files/Common Files/InstallSheild)
You can just rename it.

I called the Install sheild folder simply "posinstalsheild" and ran the installer for ghost recon again and it worked perfectly

Also if it makes any difference I have the Direct 2 Drive version of the game.

Hope this helps anyone having the same problem I did, and See you in-game as "The_Pain"!

F.Y.I. Genorator, the best solution I`ve found for locked/busy files is a small program that you can add to the right click context menu called "unlocker"
http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/
Has come in very handy to me, many times..

P.S. Nice solution, any explanation for it?
