I have no clue how to fix it. I updated all my device drivers, sound, video, I downloaded a v1.35 patch for GRAW1, even backtracked and tried version1.06. I run vista, but I have GRAW in compatibility mode so I know it will work ( compatibility xp service pack 2) and I have 2 gigs of RAM so I know that my computer is not too slow. I bought this game yesterday or the day before or something like that, and I have not been able to get it running yet. I would simply LOVE some help on this, thanks.
Alright, I also have downloaded earlier patches and installed them accordingly, thinking that maybe that would help, it didn't. I re-Re installed new driver software, so that isn't much of a problem... I can play Portal and Half life 2 on this computer without it lagging, so I know my processing speeds and RAM are more than adequite, and my graphics card ( cannot seem to locate what kind it is, if there even is one present) seems fairly decent to me. Like I stated though, I am not sure if I even have a graphics card for this laptop, if I do not, would that be the cause th render software does not apply itself correctly? I really hope not, my new desktop is months away ( it will run on XP once more, yay.) and I am unsure whether or not I will get rid of the game by then out of frustration....
Is there seriously so little hope for my cause that I cannot receive even one reply? I see that my previous thoughts of this forum being helpful were wrong, and that none of you are willing to help me.
