They always talk about "the few" who bravely defended Britain against the Luftwaffe. Actually, there was a "few", which was even fewer: the 101st fighter group of the Royal Hungarian Air Force.
Their motto said: "Led by courage, escorted by luck"
They were often outnumbered 1 to 6 regarding the escort fighters, not talking about the heavy bombers they had to face. They knew they would probably lose the war, but they never gave up on defending the Hungarian skies. Those who survived were arrested and tortured during the communist regime which followed the nazi terror. The communism completely deleted their names from the pages of history...
Some of them still live, and wrote books about their deeds, thoughts, happiness, sorrow, bravery and fears. Now it's up to us to keep their memory alive. The memory of our forgotten heroes.

thanks to Vpmedia for the skins and the Balaton map, and to the whole AAA community for these wonderful mods.

Hi GragGal,

Another nice little movie, developing from your last music video.

You have chosen a historic subject. I'm afraid I don't know much about the Royal Hungarian Air Force. I know a little more now, thanks to this.

If you really want to make an impact with a remembrance film, give your movie some human interest. All we have here is aircraft fighting with each other. There is nothing for the viewer to connect with. Find a person, tell his or her story.

What carries this is the music. It's a great Knopfler piece. Now watch your movie without any music and figure if the visuals can stand up on their own.

As for the actual cinematography, some basics you need to look at. Go easy on the dissolves. I've already talked about this tonight in the ˜Eagles' critique. Same applies.

Some of the mods used are great, I am very impressed about what the mods can do for our hobby. The only mod I didn't like was the prop mod. This was cool when it first came out, but now that I've seen it in a few movies it has lost its originality. As cool as it was at first, this prop effect is not what you see in real life or in the movies. It is only seen in screenshotart, or in good still photography.

Keep it up though GregGal (Gregory's Girl, lol?!), it's getting better.

Hey, thanks for the advices! As I'm only a beginner, they're always welcome! Smile

My name is Gergely Gál - a hungarian name. Gergely= Greg
Gál=Gaulois, like the ancestors of the French.

It sure sounds weird in englishSmile
