Question...
I uploaded my movie, Special Delivery, to both Blip and Vimeo. Blip plays it as smooth as glass and Vimeo is very clicky. To make sure, I went to bblokes and watched it, and it was clicky as well.

Is this a setting I'm missing?

Is there anyone here experienced enough with vimeo to tell me whether I'm missing a quality setting or something?

The view quality between Blip.tv and vimeo is really apparent.

I like Vimeo's layout and embedding visual MUCH, MUCH more than Blip. The problem is, Blip plays it crystal clear and Vimeo is fuzzy, pixled, and clicky. This has got to be a quality setting on my part....right? anybody? hello?

This is my first time using Vimeo, but in my experience, when using blip.tv and selecting the format as source, there simply isn't anything else out there that maintains the same level of quality as blip.tv does. So I would say you are not doing anything wrong, Vimeo is what it is. But if anyone else can add something, I too would be interested to learn more.

I did read that, but my stuff wasn't done in 1280x1024

I see what you mean!

There's some weirdness going on with vimeo. It seems to be sizing down your 856x480 video. Then when you switch it full screen it looks really bad.

Blip.tv keeps the original 856x480.

Vimeo is actually smoother as it keeps the fps of the original (what is it, 25 or 30?), whereas blip takes it down to 15 - most noticeable on panning shots or objects.

I'll need to do some experimenting to see how to get the best from vimeo, or if indeed blip is edging forward on the quality race!

Seems like Vimeo are now resizing all videos less than HD to 504x284!

I guess that's fair enough seeing as it is a free servive.

I've carried out tests and comparisons on Vimeo, Blip and Youtube and will post my results up tomorrow. Probably worth a mini-tutorial thread.
