S!

Firstly, I feel a bit of a dope not having taken the time to do some research first and having to spend a heap of time learning about making IL-2 Movies from just 'grunt' learning on the fly.

Ok, that said, I have already seen a some great things and wish I had found this months ago when I first started.

Mouse panning comes to mind.

Here are a couple of my movies and would love some feedback. Go easy on me - I'm a noob in this area.

Just thought I'd add. Yes it's DivX. I have these on Youtube too but frankly the quality is less than impressive. In the first vid above for example, you cannot see the aircraft in the distance in Youtube so did the DivX thing as an alternative High Def approach.

Thanks Joe,

As I say mate, boy I wish I had have found this months ago!

Esp when I see the terrible mouse panning I used. Now I can work on that.

It's always tricky too on Pub Servers as they are not set up well with camera points so it's a bit of 'make do'.

The main aim was to promote the IL-2 Community in Australia - GameArena in particular.

Having read a bunch of your posts, I really appreciate your feedback Joe and thanks agian.

Now all I have to do is work out who to ask to get HTML enabled so I can post up a sig lol.

Doing an action movie from an online fight is a good place to start and to see if you have the basics sorted. You have! And you have a particular style as well. We've all seen plenty of recounts of missions that are, well, just plain boring with no style at all.

There's not a lot I can comment on with these two. They are what they are and do 'exactly what it says on the tin'.

It would be good to see something with a bit more meaning from yourself. If you try something small first then you'll get plenty of suggestions in here about how to improve - if that's what you want?

Have you checked out some of the best movies so far? That's the best way to learn and 'borrow' ideas. Click on my sig. There's even a couple in there I did with a down under theme Winky

(PS, you don't get html enabled in here for sigs, you have to use BBCode. Just ask if you need help)

Yep,

I see what you mean Joe and am certainly keen on doing something that's more "me" Smile

Thanks for the BBCode feedback. I was a bit confused as the UserCP told me that I needed HTML enabled (or something like that) for a sig.

Again, appreciate the feedback.

So...Is using the mouse to move the camera taboo? If not...How in the world can I get it to move smooth? Is there another way to get a smooth, manual, shot?
