Hi Hornet

As an avid IL2 movie watcher & not a maker all I can give is some personal opinions .
I did enjoy your movie and feel you have room to greatly improve it ( for me at least).
Thank goodness you didnt have heavy metal music to it, my favourite band is Fear Factory, but that & IL2 dont mix well.
Start was great, got right into the historical feel straight away. Some view from B17 cockpits & also wildcat during take off/form up would be good. Also during battle & bombing run on carrier. That puts me as a viewer involved in the event.
Some brief narration from takeoff through to approach to target, even on egress after attack to finalize story could be considered.
There could be more of a build up of tension of the approach of jap fighters. All of a sudden they were there flying beside a B17 .It lost some impact.
Possibly too much 'distant' external view used,
when I find a movie that is gold for me its one that gets me in, has me right there, & they are usually got some viewing of the flight, battle etc from the drivers seat, that includes the enemy as well.
An example is the tailgunner & Zeke. A bit too long watching action just from the gunner position, maybe have jap pilot/plane view of attack approach, then gunner & some external meshed together as a micro story within the whole.
I'm rattling this off as it comes to mind ,please excuse if a bit jumbled.
Consider a photographers viewpoint say at takeoff. Planes going past you gives an element of speed & motion which is sadly missed when just using the fixed external view.

Boy, Ive just read this, hope ya dont take it too personal.Smile
Having said all the above congrats on making a movie its more than Ive ever done.Hope there's more to come.

Cheers
Ikey

To clarify I know its only 8 - 10 seconds but better maybe if split up with some other view/angle.
