I've been working at this for a bit, and i finally got the pans in Il2 to start doing what i needed to make a short clip.
I'm not really hilighting the video here, but check it out more for the sound.

Believe it or not, this is the game sound i created, with some ambiance thrown in. It really adds to the cinematic effect of the shot.

you might need to turn it up a bit because i wanted to preserve the quality and not let the sound get distorted with internet noise of the upload.

i went back and forth with the trumpet idea, and i just decided to keep it in. I don't want to give too much away, but i might need to redo the levels on that P-40 shot anyway, because it was originally just to be a sound demo for that particular plane. I seem to have found a formula for making realistic in game plane sounds, and now that the A6M is close to finished I'm thinking of making a short production with these two planes.

I'm actually able to do quite a bit with virtual dub and super c for the video, and i'm using Cubase Le for the sound mixing. It was a little overwhelming at first, but its actually kind of fun now that i got the hang of it.
