Cool video and a beautiful map! Who's going to be the first to tell a good story from Slovakia?

Great if you want to make a movie about castle Dracula....muhhahahaha! I'm downloading it today now the servers are a bit more accessible, love the new airfield with hangars you can go inside Smile

edit-- OK had a look, impressive, towns and villages dont sit on that gey/black background as before look much more natural. Visuals, particularly the green areas softer and more pastel looking in colour even with time at mid-day, placed several static cams around near towns for a close look, can see brickwork and woodgrain details close up, you can see the hands on the town clock, buildings have dog kennels outside, toilets, and various objects around, haystacks in fields etc, tombstones in the churchyard! and there's a lot of towns.
I had no drop in framerate even flying over in no cockpit view in real time, not track. The only negative I can see from a movie point of view is that it's destinctive and very mountainous so is only going to pass for a couple of places in Europe, so a historical movie in the low countries is out.

Hi Indy.

Nice to see you eventually stumbled across the movie makers forum.

I hope you think about making some more movies. You have a good eye for camera angles. There must be a lot of potential for stories using this map.

I can't wait until 4.09 is released, both for flying and movie making. I've tried some of the features out in the beta. The increased visibilty range in 4.09 is stunning, especially for the Slovakia map, but I have also tested it on other maps for improved visuals.

The only thing you have to watch is the framerate for such graphic intensive scenes. I did notice quite a few stutters in your video and if you manage to smooth these out it would make any future videos much easier to watch.

Hi Joe, you are right about the stutters. Will try to minimize them next time. I am thinking about new movie, but it takes a lot of time to do it up to the mark. Cheers.

There are various techniques to keep your frame rate constant.

Just ask! There are a few guys about here who can offer advice if you are having problems whisper

Hi Indy,

I have been a little slow picking up this movie; it seemed to pass me the first time.

Now this has to be the Angeline Jolie of IL2 movies, visually stunning with a hint of ruggedness. To be honest I could have watched this without any planes at all, I have been waiting for someone to make a top draw scenic IL2 movie for some time, and this is the one for me Cool Fantastic detail, love the slow methodical shots, they went perfect with the sound track Clap

I few stutters here and there but that can be forgiven as you obviously had your graphic settings maxed out which made me jealous Sad Eyes
Extremely enjoyable movie, so glad you produced it, this one is a keeper for me, and welcome to the forum Indy.

Hi Monty, thanks for notice. Yes, maximal graphic settings were set, the country looks quite better, especially on Slovakia map. Hope we brought you some good scenery for movies with this one Wink

Btw, I really like the style of camera movement in your movies. Cheers!
