Hi all,

I've been searching around the internet for a solution to my problem, but it's proving difficult, and nothing I've found so far has worked.

I am making a simple movie in Windows Movie Maker. I used Fraps to record, and I am using one piece of music. I can save, load, edit, and play my movie as a project without any problems.

When I try to publish though, I encounter strange problems. About 15% into publishing I get an error message that says some files are missing, or there is no space on my HD. I have 50 GB on my HD free, and the clip is only 100 MB. Also, I have all the files as they are all viewable in the preview screen before publishing. The music is a compatible file type, and is played in preview mode, and in Windows Media Player just fine.

Another time I managed to publish, but then half of the movie turned blank in the middle of one of my shots (so it couldn't have been just a missing file) The music still played through a black screen.

Another time, I managed to publish, but only in tiny thumbnail size.

This is making me quite frustrated, because I enjoy making these movies, but they never work out.

Any suggestions?

I have noticed that WMM has trouble saving movies that are too complicated(even if they are'nt by our standards).

I have gotten around that problem by breaking the movie down into 90 second sections and saving those to my pc.

I then imported those movie sections back into WMM and they appear as clips that you can then drag into the story board and then add the sound track.

If you are getting that dissapointing message when trying to save your movie, a sure way around that is to do what I did. It worked for me.

Edit: If you still can't save the movie-section try shortening the duration of the section you are saving to your pc.
