This is a great production. All the aspects of the movie for me seem to be very well in balance and nothing was "overdone" .

I especially liked the start-up of the bombers and fighters with the artistic touch of the quick succession and overlaying of clips with the very interesting shoot angles and zooms.

I loved the combat/bombing sequence and it looked different and much more interesting than the IL2 movies of the You tube masses. The skins of fighters came off very realistically.

The sounds, music and SFX were very well done with the climax of the B17 exploding I think you achieved a very good effect.

But most of all in my opinion you obtained fantastic photo realism with your subtle and tasteful use of filters and shake. Sometimes it is really difficult to differentiate between real war and IL2 footage. The final color/contrast/saturation combinations came out very well.

Give yourself a pat on your back; this is a great work of art!

(PS; there are some minor aspects in the negative from my viewpoint that could be mentioned but you know the forum's policy regarding critique..)

Hi Jafa,

Good to see you posting again in this forum. I hope that you and all the other new (and old) moviemakers that have entered movies in the competition become more active in here.

We all have a lot to learn from each other, and this is probably the best forum for doing so.

As for your Purple Hearts, do you want any comments and suggestions about it? I won't actually to be able give any detailed response until after the competition is over, but I will do so then if you wish.

PS , biltongbru , the map from the109 is MTO 409 as far as I can remember.

Joe , I dont know if you have missread wot I wrote , but it was not meant with any ill intent , I welcome any critique so long as it dosnt become personal or demanding , I was just takin the mick and not at you , but at what is to come.
