I recently won an iPod Nano Silver (G3) at a business presentation. My wife has laid claim to it, but I was curious to try putting some IL2 movies on it, especially the ones I've made.

Naturally, the iPod only supports .mov and .m4v formats (thanks for nothing, Steve Jobs) but of course nearly all of the movies I have are in .divx or .avi format (using DivX or HuffyUV conpression). Naturally, my digital camera also saves movies in .avi (though I don't know offhand with what kind of compression). I dowloaded a tool called 3GP Converter and it seemed to work OK for the camera's movies. When I tried converting my DivX-encoded "Crew22", I ended up with good picture and sound, but the soundtrack lags behind the video by about 8 seconds!

Anyone have a good tip on what utilities are good for this sort of thing? (The cheaper the better since I am on a very limited budget...)
