I believe and they would make the tourney 1v1, no clans, or so I hope. Honestly the way the game is made there really isnt any way to implement "clans". Now on the other hand, they could make it where you could have a format where 3 or 5 man teams fight it out and whoever gets 2/3 or 3/5 wins in either case advances. That would be off the parameters of how the game was made and makes other big problems in the process. Another big issue with the clan idea would be all the best players getting on one team, or 2 teams. It would kill the tourney and players wouldnt want to play. Along with the tourney would be pretty much decided except who would win the last match. Not very exciting nor fun to say the least. So it should be 1v1 imo, only thing left open would be deciding who plays who. Doing seeding/qualifying would probably be too hard due to time differences/schedules/ personal things. So best option imo along with fastest and easiest would be random match ups like chuunin exams, also goes along with the anime too.

its not my fault if pepople wont join jus because akatsuki is in the tournament grow sum ballz n oo yea look at the giants beatin the patiots that wasnt supposed 2 happen n it did so jus have faith n saty on ur toes that is the real skill of the best players in the world
