How to get thru this part where you need to clear the skies for your allied to take off??? It's so difficult to beat the planes with the given time. Any suggestions? Should we go for the planes first of should we hit the ground targets on the take off strip???

Just shot down the fighters the ground units won't hurt your guys

I agree, that part is very difficult. I was about to cry after many attempts not getting even close. You have to kill all 6 or 7 planes, however many there are, within the given time. No way around it, and no special tricks you can use.

Once I had only one plane left and missed it by a few shots/seconds. I was so devastated :-).... Next occassion came 20 tries later... Good luck. This was the second toughest part for me after the Kremlin mission.

Why don't you try killing the enemy planes. It is not that hard just lock-on, throttle down and pull up, throttle up towards it, fire, repeat. Actually attacking an enemy plane is better than running from it when its firing at you.

Could the problem be the plane you pick?
