Will the devs be supporting the Trophy system on the PS3 when it's released in a couple days?
Please take care of us.. Faith Based Risk. |

Alright, this may be pushing my luck, but why not implemet the Trophy system on the original Blazing Angels??
EDIT - Can we get a word please? Even it's like RSV2!! This message has been edited. Last edited by: maxpontiac, Faith Based Risk. |

Yes, this is three posts in a row by me, but this one is addressed to the fellow gamers..
Does not one of you PS3 users care about Trophies? Or am I alone on this? Faith Based Risk. |

Well what do we get if we win trophies?? Probably nothing... Why can't sony just spend time improving PSN servers instead of usless things?
|

Useless servers? Only game to give me problems is RSV. What you get with Trophies is obvious... Faith Based Risk. |

Sure jump in a Defiant... let the PS# get some killss... get a shiney useless trinket that lets all your pals know you suck... Why wouldn't anyone want that? Heck the servers never lag so bad you can't see.... anyway... I want a useless trinket!!! Nao!!!!

IamKFAM, Trophies add replay and test your skills.
Like in Super Stardust HD, I would never think to try collecting 20 bombs, I'd be using them. But that was one of the Trophies, sure enough, and it made me a better player because you learn to adapt without the best weapons. I would get any game at a moderate price if it had Trophies. Why? Because it opens the game up in a new way, one that's worth everyone's time. If you don't like the game, trade it in after you get all the Trophies and just keep the save data (might not even need to, it might be undeletable "Trophy" data, not sure). |

Mitch with all due respect...
The two blazing angels games are not arcade shooters. No matter how you slice it the AI is well.... BAD. Online is much more challanging and if you hook up with the right group offers a lot in terms of replay. Trophies are for the kids... and the squirrels.. and all who are attracted to shiney things of little to no value. Give me a stable playground for humans to compete... keep yer 20 kills in a Gladiator to get a worthless comparison point. |

KFAM, I get what you're saying... I don't know about the Blazing Angels games, but with Stardust HD, Trophies really added life. That game is tough as nails.
The Trophies in SSHD are not for kids. I'm 20 years old, I don't care about trivial things. I only see Trophies as a new challenge, not an e-penis showoff device, and challenge is why we game. Fun hooks us in, but challenge keeps us interested. |

My sarcasm aside... I can appreciate that.
Come online with BA 1 Or 2... I can introduce you to some players that will provide continuing challanges, even if trophy support never comes. PSN = KFAM |
||||

Sounds good, I'll get one of them sometime.
What else do you play online on PSN? |

BYTHEMITCH
Nice job, you explained the trophy system quite well. KFAM I will gladly take you on in a one vs. one match when I finish upgrading my planes. I lost my profile (maxGTP) which had my game save on it. I am probably still on the leaderboard top 100 I would imagine. Plus, with online matches on Blazing Angels 1 (never played 2 online due to the idiotic sci-fi weapons and the lack of American warplanes, I assume they are the same), they all turn into a circle matches, and yes, I understand how the games upgrading system works. Bottom line, BA gets boring like all other games, and I like to play all types. Seriously, you should quit stereotyping players who like Trophies and give them a chance, and if you don't like them, good for you.. As MITCH stated, SSHD is a good game, and trophies add alot to it. EDIT - LOL, fired the game up and am still ranked in the top 100 with a rank of 76. I also noticed you were sitting at 23 which means you are most likely very good. Faith Based Risk. |

Well at least I got you guys stirred up a bit...
Mitch... BA 1&2 Warhawk GTA4 GRID GT5p F1CS That's about all I play online.. Max... BA2 has a group that shys away from the sci fi stuff and still dogfights the old way... I might suggest you rent to see for yourself... No american planes yes, you may just have to get over that for a while.. Ba1 anytime you are ready.... you have my ID. Circling is well... that's a large part of dogfighting in the old planes... I believe that's why the term was coined. The bigger challenge comes in squad play... more variables than 1v1 but hey... I'm game for 1v1 too. |

That's good to hear actually. I did try and BUY the game, and honestly, it was a HUGE step back. Yeah, the diss on American planes...I got over the fact, it's just that it's bummer, especially when one considers the damage the US accomplished. Give me some time, I am roughly half way there, and we'll set up a friendly match. In the mean time, I'll send you a friend request. My PSN ID is "maxpontiac". Oh, I understand that WW2 era dogfights ended up in alot of circle fights, but the problem with BA is dive and climb speeds are moot in the game. That was huge. Ask the Japanese!! LOL Agreed. Squad play is huge. But 1 v. 1 takes away chance, and blind kills. You know I am there, and vice versa...it all comes down to flying. Faith Based Risk. |

|
Accepted the request... look forward to seeing you out there...
I agree Simulation BA 1&2 ain't. But it's all we got for a little while longer anyway... |
||||
|
OK. Finished the campaign, have to do the ace battles and the mini campaigns. As far as our match, we need to agree on what the parameters are going to be.. Faith Based Risk. |
