The Manager has, well with 7 go-a-heads, changed the shift start times and it seems that I or Swing Shift has made out like a bandit!!!! My new shift is 1p to 9p!!!! Of course that makes the Wife happy and a happy Wife means more SH4 play!

The next two rounds are on me!

Kent

I took a golf buggy ride round the Skywalker Estate and frankly I'm pretty disappointed by what I saw. The place needs a clean up - and soon.

Recommend that we gather together the Trustee's of old and put together a re-branding strategy forthwith. If the old Trustee's can't be found (i.e. have been arrested or fled the Skywalker I suggest new Trustee's are press ganged appointed forthwith)

Take a look at some photo's I took. Shameful.

The Cinema / Gentleman's Live Show Theatre - Seats could do with a dust of:

And DVD's ain't gonna look there best on THAT screen:

Rosie has a lot to answer for - ain't gonna sell much beer in this bar now are we?:

The Airport, opened to much acclaim, has gone downhill. We don't even bother locking shut the doors of the aircraft these days. Tsk.

Investment is required immediately in the IT infrastructure (and NO, a coupla more Gb of ram ain't solving this problem):

@ Wh1skea - 'Early Day Partitioners' ? You'll have to explain that one to me Hammer

@ Vietvet - Is there supposed to be something in that picture of a fence you have posted?

Re Pharmann - My Moderator Powers tell me he is alive and well. At least he was at the start of the month (But I didn't tell you that) Wink2 Angel

Now, we gonna get this place cleaned up or what? *starts handing out buckets*

Wh1skea - Ah, I see now - You meant 'Parishoner' I understand now. By your own admission, you've been here long enough to be part of the furniture Smile

None of us are 'founder members' Wh1skea. That honour goes to the author of this thread - DBW himself. He would have wanted as much participation as we could cram inside of Rosie's Bar *Raises a glass*

Yes Vietvetwo, and any others that have wondered, i'm alive and well and still coming around here every now and then to see what's up with old gang. Now that i'm working 9pm to 5am I don't get a whole lot of time to 1) play SH4 and 2) visit Rosies very often. But thanks for thinking of me and has anyone seen my girlfriend, er, ah, goat?? She was last seen making off with one of my old "cammo" uniforms...

Pharmman,

Glad all is well, I miss you here on the threads. Would be great to get back together with you and Lane. There's new Moderators to mess with.

Viet; yeah, I miss those days too! Don't know where Lane's been, haven't seen him post for a long time now. As for the new Moderators, you're the one who can keep those "young upstarts" in their place! Yes, we fought the Mods and the Mods won, but only cause it was "their turf". Keep messin' with em, I love reading your posts, they always crack me up.

My early summer vacation got a bit out of hand when I went on the "Predator" tour in South America and soon found myself surrounded by little furry aliens.

When I tried to explain I needed to get back home to play a submarine simulation, they were oddly amused:

Hmmm?

Don't like that story? Well... Alright.

Been trying to take it easy after throwing my back out, discovering I have a herniated disk. Cannot sit playing for too long peering at tiny laptop screen and ... and ... and ...

No meds other than a rare aspirin so ...

I need some alcohol after dealing with them aliens.

Demand veal marsala with garlic buttered noodles in the officer's mess!

Have you read your Fleet Boat Manual yet?

Viet and Pharmann - Too Happy Trust me, we don't appoint just any old nancy boys that can say the right things at the right time. There is an intensive training course that Moderators have to go on, and complete, before they receive their badge. You can take 'em on should you wish, but you'll wish you hadn't. I dug out a pic of us all from the last Ubi Mod's Team Meeting and team building exercise.

@ Opies - Good man! Thanks for volunteering Thumbs Up

@ Raptor - That video - When you get a call at 3AM, that'll be me having had nightmares! Sorry to hear you hurt your back, hope it mends soon for you Thumbs Up

Oh yes, the Mods Meeting photo I mentioned....

RJ,
Way back in the day, I posted a series of photos that showed the REAL Moderator training. Wish I could remember the date, but if anyone reading these posts have the time, you'll find the real story there.

I think it's a great thing that the Moderators are the first to step up and offer to help with the clean-up.

As you would expect, RealJambo is the first to show up, willing, ready and able to get the job done.

Tambor rummages around in the attic, and finds his old work outfit.

And even the new guy, Tuddley gets into the act

Uh Tuddley, far be it for me to comment on anyone's life style choices, but I'm very glad you weren't around back in the El Dorado pirate phase.
