I decided to start a new discussion and maybe we would be able to get Ubisoft's marketing department senior directors' attention if, along with an official letter (which is always a good hard copy idea), we call let's say on a certain day for the whole day ALL AT ONCE the toll free number available for your country.

If we all do, before May 28th as mentioned by AudibleKnight, we should get their attention in another way. THUESDAY, MAY 22ND, would be the best day, it would give them time to evaluate the situation before the decision they have to make from the 28th onwards.

Please, let's dare this covenant, and EACH OF US will call on MAY 22ND and ask to address yourself to a supervisor for a deeper impact. I hope it will flood their lines!

I need your support though, so please, reply to this post to let me know of your intentions about this proposition.

P.-S.: A second thought about the letter: it would be required to give it more weight that we have an official petition with names, address and signatures. In so far, I am afraid that we lack this sort of time to collect that many informations from all of us. So, although an official letter is good, unsupported by a sufficiently long list of signatures, it will be rendered quite bleak and unsignificant to them if they can't see a huge number of signatures related to the letter. The advantage of calling them and giving them one's own address and name (plus the GAME's BAR CODE TAG or WHATEVER NUMBER CODE that WOULD LET THEM TRACE YOUR GAME AS A PURCHASED ITEM), we, complainants will have a definite impact if we do it MASSIVELY ALL AT ONCE on MAY 22nd.
Think about it.

MAY 22ND, for the whole day.

POLITELY ASK to speak to a supervisor. Tell him/her your complain/disagreement regarding the PATCHING EFFORTS about SH4. Give him/her your NAME, your FULL ADDRESS (+ phone number) and the U_P_C NUMBER LABELED on your gamebox. I recommend not to give your personal CD KEY from the back cover of your manual. If you do, it's at your own risk.

I've already tried posting in other games "off topic" forums trying to build support for us from the gaming community in general, but so far all attempts have been shut down by thier moderators (IE posts were closed due to "slander"). I guess this would be the best way to go. Count me in.

But if you don't mind my asking, what happens may 28?

PS- I will be starting the "Frags for Dirtbags" comittee, which we will try to send 500 fragmentaion grenades to UBI HQ, with the pins... intentionally missing.

May 28th is the due date by which it will be decided whether or not patch 1.3 will be terminated and released or not. If at Ubisoft they choose to listen to their customers, work on the patch will be carried on. On the other hand, if there is no evident sign that enough people voice their disagreement about their patching efforts and overall game status (which is to everyone's surprise incomplete), nobody will see the day when an official patch v1.3 will be released.

We must do something very much NOTICEABLE on MAY 22ND so that we heavily influence their upcoming decision which we will have around May 28th.

Sounds like a plan!

Let's put this story on the news stations around the globe on top of calling them. It's about time an example was made and MAYBE just MAYBE these large overgrown, money hungry, software swindling liars, will start fearing the little guy for a change and start making products that work the way they are suppose to.

I work hard for a living so there is absolutely no reason at all that my hard earned money should be spent on wasteful products that don't work the way they are advertised.

I want this game fixed and I want a formal apology from UBIsoft's CEO as well as a promise that ALL their future software releases will work as advertised and if they don't they promise to patch them to work as advertised or until the community becomes satisfied.

In my view we should really try by all means to get atention. if we just let this happen then instead of a trend on the gaming industry we will have a reality in wich all games will be only half complete.

By all means, we have to jump on the wagon. Yet, we need more people to reply here because I am not sure that we reached everybody with this call.

I stopped playing for 3 weeks now and I would really like to go on and blast convoys around. But it did affect me, this sort of long and tedious silence from UBI. They brought my morale low enough so that I am no more interested in playing.

TO ALL MEMBERS: WE got to stick together in this, WE do not leave anybody behind, let alone what we believe in. Those of us who know about MAY 22ND's initiative, please spread the word in the meantime.
