I'm in a mission, have some fun with convoys, and here and there some damage on my sub. But no prob, damage team fix all. No notice anymore in damage screen.

The problem, there is still some hidden damage on my sub. I can not go anymore to periscope dept, or my sub start to collaps. Very irritating to finish a mission. Is this normal behavor from the game, or do i something wrong?

When i safe the game, and restart, first what i have is an inside view, some broek glass fals from the ceiling and somebody shout, we have damage. Even when i start the game in open sea.

This is not normal, but it does happen sometimes. I have had times where I could not shoot torpedoes despite having no damage to them, and I have had my rudder jam, without having had any damage to it. As far as the glass and stuff when renewing a saved game, yeah that goes on too sometimes, although Ive never noticed that anything was actually hurt because of it.

It is a common thing. Look at the "hull damage" meter. It will tell you how much damage your hull has. The damage will not show up in the control room graphics. It can't be fixed except in your home port. Given what you said about your crush depth, I would guess you are over 50% hull damage.

What you are describing sounds like hull damage. There is a screen that shows this. Depending on if you are running stock or different mods, there is a screen that will have a meter that says hull damage. In TMOwTw it is listed in percentages from 000 to 100. The lower the number the better. Your maximum dive depth will be reduced by the amount of hull damage you have received. This damage CANNOT be repaired by your crew. It CANNOT be repaired at a refit refuel base. It CAN ONLY, REPEAT ONLY, be repaired at your home port. That is the one with the tilted anchor. Check the hull damage meter after EVERY encounter with the enemy. Gunfire, Bombs, Depth Charges, and Mines (yes they are in the game)can cause hull damage. Hope this helps.

I would love to see the hull damage meter gone too! It was a common thing for a real submarine to have damage that couldn't be detected until it killed everyone on board. The U-505 was bombed on the suface by a Lancaster and stumbled around for two years with damage that couldn't be found at sea or in port.

Why in the world do we expect to know everything? At all times in real life the quantity of things we know is dwarfed by the quantity of things we don't know. It just doesn't seem to bother us too much there...

ConfusedI see that someone else has had the same problem of hull damage while they are in deep water, EVERY time I load a saved game I end up with "We're taking damage sir", and as I am in 1000 feet of ocean, it seems that UBISOFT cannot be bothered to prevent my sub from ending up with more hull damage, what I want to know is WHY? I ended up with a total of 44pc hull damage before deciding it was time to head back to my home base of Penang for repairs, as the other bases have lousy mechanics that can't be bothered to do the job while you are there, BUT if that base was your HOME base, they WOULD repair it, silly me....my mistake, I thought we were on the same side, probably too busy drinking saki? LOL. You can find your HULL damage by going to crew screen, clicking the spanner etc, and it is left top corner area....GOOD HUNTING, Cpt Herr Part. Thumbs Up
