Taken some decent screenshots? Let’s see them then!... But - Are they good enough to win? You won’t know unless you enter them!

The screenshot comp started with SH3 over 2 years ago, now incorporates SH4 and is still going - and growing! It's the only Silent Hunter screenshot comp officially supported by Ubisoft. There are separate entry threads for unedited and edited categories.

Why should I?

Don’t you want to be a winner? Every winner receives the coveted certificate — printed on specially finished paper to recreate that authentic 'yesteryear' look and posted in a hard backed envelope to wherever they live in the world!

Timeframes?

Post your entries 1st to 16th of each month — then 17th to end of month the same thread changes for voting.

What else?

- Max 4 entries.
- No dials. Press ‘Del’ / ‘.’ on your number pad to remove dials before you take your screenshot. Press this key again to replace dials.
- Be sure you are posting in the correct comp—unedited comp for standard shots, edited comp for those you have made changes to after taking it.
- 800x600 max size, widescreen users ensure max width of 1024 pixels.

Then what?

Wait for the 17th when voting starts and see how you get on! Anyone can vote, even if you didn’t enter. Cast two votes:

1st vote awards 3 points
2nd vote awards 1 point

No voting for yourself (!) Please state who and for which screenshot you are voting for as it helps me compile the scores more quickly - i.e.

3 points: Goose Green and ‘Trawler Ablaze’
1 point: Mariuszj and ‘Torpedo Away!'

Last months winner: Ash1976 with 'Dawn of War Sepia Edit'

Thanks to those who have entered, in what has been a slow month generally for the forums, understandable given the time of year.

Time to vote!

3 points : To the Depths by Handy
Comment: Very cool maroonish kind of colour especially for under water scene. I like the colour of water surface on the top behind the ship. It's very unique!! Clap Clap Clap

1 point : In the Pacific - No-one can hear you scream! by ash1976
Comment: Giving the size ratio between the ship and sea environment really tells how doomed this ship is in the middle of no where. Nice softlens kind of effect which makes it so silent in the big sea. Well done !! Clap Thumbs Up

*** Winner's Announcement ***

First a small word of explanation. I am filling in for RJ this month because he is busy at the moment attending to some very urgent family business.

There were some great screenshots this month. The creativity for the Edited Screenshot Competition is getting better every month.

1st place goes to Handy for To The Depths

2nd place goes to Doolittle81 for Too Close For Comfort

Congratulations, gentleman. Thumbs Up
