Draft Charts for Version 1.4, 1.4 TMO & 1.5, 1.5 TMO 1.7/TMOWTW 1.7, 1.5 TMO 1.9 & 1.5 RSRDC v550 - Warships and Merchants as a PDF file

Right now I play SH4 with U-boat mission (1.5) using auto targeting. I am interested in only the depth to set my torpedoes for that particular ship. To do this I need to know the draft of that ship. I know there is a Ship Recognition Manual in the game but I decided to make up a chart that shows the draft of Warships and Merchants in both feet and meters that I could print out. I thought I would make this post so any of you that would like to download these charts, you may. I also included the Tonnage of each ship and how each ship ranks in tonnage from 1st to last in the chart. The listing of the Ships on each page are in alphabetic order.

The Charts are in PDF format. There is a PDF for each group, Japanese warships, Other warships and Merchants.



I have Six sets of PDF Charts.
The first set is for people that have the basic version 1.4 Game.
The second set of charts is for those that have version 1.4 with Trigger Maru Overhaul Mod (TMO) installed.
The third set is for those using the basic version 1.5 (U-Boat Missions).
The forth set of charts are for those that have version 1.5 with the TMO 1.7 or TMOWTW 1.7 Mod installed.
The fifth set of charts are for those that have version 1.5 with the TMO 1.9 Mod installed.
The sixth set is for those using version 1.5 with the RSRDC verison 550 installed. (the RSRDC charts were put together with the help of weston14h. Thanks weston14h.)

Below are the five groups. Make sure you select the right group because some tonnage and depth is different in the basic game and Trigger Maru Overhaul (TMOWTW) or RSRDC + patch 2.

Great idea.
I grabbed the TM versions. I now have them in my SHIV 3 ring binder, in a plastic sleeve of course.

Just wanted to say Thanks for the kind words from all of you. I wanted something easier to use for the depth of a ship. I can't say I am sinking more now because of this form but at least I can act like I am.

I wanted to bump this up so you could see the new charts I made that show the draft and tonnage of a ship. Charts are good for version 1.4 basic, version 1.4 plus TMO, version 1.5 (has addon) basic, and version 1.5 plus TMO. There are differences with the basic game and TMO. That is why I made one for each.
Just go to the beginning of this thread (topic) and all the new information is there.

I employed something similar to this when I was first playing SH3 a couple of years ago, it was great as a quick reference to the ships draft when setting torpedo depths especially when I was a fan of the "under the keel" shot!

I updated the changes Ducimus made in version 1.5 TMO to include the 3 new Japanese Destroyers he has added.
This new file is called - V. 1.5 plus JWS TMO SP2B

is the ingame recognition manual not correct for 1.4 unmodded?

The in game recognition manual is correct in the game. I just went and took this same information and put it on a single sheet to show the draft and tonnage of each ship. I find it easier to just check the printed out I made instead of looking through the recognition manual each time when I am wondering how deep the ship is in the water to set my torpedoes.

I went and updated the Draft and Tonnage Charts for the SH4 version 1.5 (U-Boat Mission) for skippers that use the TMO or TMOWTW 152 mod. Different Ship names are used in TMO and TMOWTW 152 mods.
Just go to the beginning of this post to see the new PDF files for version 1.5 when using TMO or TMOWTW mod.

I have updated the Draft and Tonnage Charts. The charts use to list the ships in the same order as the recognition manual was in SH4. After using this charts myself, I decided I wanted the ships listed in alphabetic order so I could find them easier.
I also added another column to these chart. This column shows the ranking of each ship by tonnage, from 1st to last.

Go to the beginning of this thread and you will see a picture of what the PDF looks like with the new changes.

Didn't see this long ago. This is great with TMO since we have automatic ID, but still had to check the keel depths, now I can just look on the wall.

I'm making a list of the same info for the added ships of RSRD, so I can add them to it.
