On MAY 22ND:

Today, at 9:00 hours, have begun the singlemost important operation of this forum's history. We are about to achieve the first phase of a well-planned and coordinated campaign to voice our indignation and scandalisation towards Ubisoft's impending decision in shutting down all future patch support.

Please, those who called, confirm it with a post on this thread, so that we can have an idea of how many person did call. A poll is also available for a more accurate set of data.

P.-S.: In the event call-in confirmations are not as successfully received as anticipated, the second phase of Operation Tridenthold will be launched on MAY 24TH.

Question:
On MAY 22ND for Operation Tridenthold, have you called Ubisoft and voice your concerns?

Choices:
YES I have
NO I have not

I just spoke to a representative in North Carolina, whose name was Henry (for those who spoke to him). I explicitely asked that my concerns and indignations are to be forwarded to the proper personnel and that UBI management be informed of the non-sense behind releasing a game riddled with bugs and shutting down its patching support. I gave my address, etc. and politely voiced that SH4 has issues; basically that it is defective.

I hope many more will participate to Tridenthold!

I just finished my call and detailed the issues listed in the bug report. I also spoke with 'Henry'. After my (polite) talking points he stated that Tech Support had nothing really they could do about the patch but would make a record of my call and pass it 'up-the-line' to Ubi. He also said to make sure that the instructions were followed about posting on the bug-report list.

I phone and asked to speak to a supervisor to no avail, however my details and conversation were entered into the system and a reference number given.

According to the guy I spoke to they have had no other related calls today, how much of that is the truth who knows.

Oh well, we can only try.

Exactly the point of all this. Don't forget that there are different numbers for other countries. Even though some of us called the UBI HQ for North America, other people would have called their country's respective toll free number.

Did you notice that they do not have any Customer Support phone number as per say??? The only numbers they have are for Tech support (the one we are forced to call) and ubishop care. The latter is out of the question, they can't do anything but tracking orders down. We are stuck with a Tech support line.
It tells us A LOT about what the company thinks of its "valued" customers!!!

I called and got a rep, who informed me that:

1) there are concerns and issues being looked into by the company.

2) the fact that the calls we are making do get passed on and the need for further patches is being noted.

3) I read the person quotes from the sticky concerning patch 1.3, and he did say that they were looking into the problems being reported.

Nice account jlf1961!

I got another idea: but first of, I'd like to know who lives close to California? I looked around on the net and I have found Gamespot phone number and I am just about to call them. I'll tell you more, guys, when I get a trusted person with whom I can deal directly.

[UPDATE] Tried the Gamespot number that I found, but it was disconnected. I did however contact someone at CNET Networks Inc. in CAL. but I was not able to get through to her, so I left a message and she will call me back.

Be tuned!

I've made a call to the number. I got a customer representative and they didn't even know what I was talking about.

I asked them where my patch 1.3 was at for SHIV and they said they didn't know what I was referring to. I told them nevermind and that they were a moron. I feel better now that I called someone a name that works for such a terrible company and to someone who is apparently completely clueless as to their company's products. Stupid bimbo! Dude, seriously stop "helping". Abusing people at the call center level does absolutely zero to help the push for a 1.3 patch.

Do you think the person you spoke with has any say at all in a patch being made? Did she do anything to you personally to garner your abuse? You came off looking like a jerk and likely did not get your voice added to complaint list.

If it made you feel better to insult probably one of the lowest level employees at Ubisoft hooray for you.

When you get in the menu, press 0 to talk to a real person, otherwise you're going to have to listen to common trouble shooting issues.

I talked to Chris.

He needed my login name.

Chris told me they are asking the audience in this here forum for grievances and issues, and that they are working on addressing these issues. He ALMOST said they are working on the patch! Chris was very polite and professional, and if you call, I suggest talking to him.

Now I go back to work, and cross my fingers. Smile

Sorry Realjambo...I just don't want to see this effort hijacked by people that want to vent their spleen at Ubisoft.

Made a second call and spoke to Drew in US.

After a short, but significant hold time, I was connected to this individual.

Again, confirmation that these are being forwarded to the team in Romania.

THERE is, according to the information that Drew and the support team have AT THIS TIME, that a patch 1.3 is being worked on, however, he did admit that he could be misinformed.

It was also confirmed by this individual that UBIsoft representitives do read the forums and are becoming PAINFULLY aware of the dissatisfaction.

Finally, it seems that there are more people calling in than confirming, since I was informed that I was the fourth person he had spoken to with these concerns.

He suggested the possibility that the V class boats (narwhal) may have some sort of copyright protection on them, possibly by the builder, however, he did put a note in requesting information on that particular issue.

Good news, now we're talking!!! So far we know the names of 3/4 employees and many asked them if SH4 calls about its issues happened, at least for what North America is concerned. I wonder about the rest of the world??

Thanks Realjambo for straightening out some post behavioring problems here. We want to keep it as clean and meaningful as it should be. By the way Realjambo, did you participate yourself? Did you call them with your login name in hand or are you forbiden to do so by company's rules?
