In the US, History channel is presenting a 10 hour miniseries starting the 15th. All color footage is used, much of it not seen before and all of it digitally restored. Jimbuna apprised me earlier that its already been shown on satellite in the UK and was excellent.

I've seen ads for this and it sounds like it's going to kick ***. While you're on the history channels webpage you might want to check out hero ships, they've got some nice stuff on the enterprise, lexington, BB new york and the DD laffey which is well worth the time to watch. Dissapointingly the nautilus describes the WW2 one, but is about the nuclear one.

I've also noticed some sales on battle 360 dvd sets lately...some mission ideas in there for sh4 Wink

What I want to know, is where is the part about the Silent Service? Unless i stepped out of the room or something and missed it.

It certainly gave a different perspective. I think many people today would rather give up freedom than deal with the real face of war.

It's amazing what those men went through.
