Well thats great! someone stole the USS Ling 297 out from under me. If you go back in the earlier threads (Before SH4 Release) you will find that I had dibbs on her. Oh Well still waiting on a better graphics card.......Otto

It was just 20 minutes from where I grew up and I had a blast the few times I went there. It's still there to this day so if you're in the area, take a look!.
You might find were I coined the USS LING a few Months back.....Otto
i would like the USS BAYA SS318 please. i know the skipper personally and several of the crew. i also have the commisiong plaque from hte baot... thanks... capt nemo out...
Good point. Still, I like the more personal nature of a name, and Flying Fish suits me well. I think I'll go with SS-229 USS Flying Fish. She had a record that was comparable to U-155, plus extras like being Flagship of Atlatntic Sub Command, albiet post war. Thanks again for the clarification.
Very nice wh1skea!

I would like to be the CO of the USS BURRFISH since I'm looking through its periscope in the avatar. The periscope has been installed for many years at the Naval Museum of Alberta in Calgary, and will be moving next month to the new Military Museum. The Burrfish only had one maru to its credit so I hope to enhance its record. It later became HMCS Grilse in the Canadian Navy.
I would like to adopt U-564 as it's always my sub when playing SH3 - just love those VII/C's Plus it was the first U-Boat I read about and her first commander seemed a jolly good fellow too
