I figured you were refering to Bushnell's Turtle. I spent quitea few years of my childhood in the New London,/Groton area. Still, its not USS Turtle...its not even a Navy vessel, it was Army Issue, lol. USS Sealion

It was just 20 minutes from where I grew up and I had a blast the few times I went there. It's still there to this day so if you're in the area, take a look!.

I know what you mean mjv...my dad was stationed in Groton when they opened the Nautilus for the public. Every time he was in port, we would go to the submarine museum. Never did use those radios they give to tske the tour with. Dad was our tour guide. His first sub cruise was on Nautilus back in 79. From Groton to Mare Island.
