I've encountered a problems with TMO 152. At the beginning of the patrol when I try to start the engines by setting all ahead standard I get a message that says "Cannot Comply". The only mod I have installed at the moment is TMO 152. Am I missing something or done something wrong or is there a problem?

New or old career game? If its a new career game, then theres a problem. If it's an old career game, its a compatiblity with the saved game issue.

edit:
oh ****, are you in an S boat? It just occured to me, i totally forgot about upgrading their UPC file.

Sorry, heres a patch that fixes it:

http://files.filefront.com/TMO+SBoat+engine+Patch7z/;10507081;/fileinfo.html

I have to admit, Sboats are the red headed step child of TM. I usually overlook them when i make any changes or improvements. Shady

The reason why it wasn't moving, is because it didnt have any engines or motors. When i redefined those, and forgot about S boats, what happened was the s boat UPC file was calling on an engine ID handle that no longer existed.

So, i added two new entries (stock) to the equpiment file, problem solved. Best way to go about that anyway since if i used the redfined entries, it would have looked like an S boat had 4 engines and 4 motors. Roll Eyes

Wow, those are some stock engines you put in the S-class boats, Duece. I was chasing down a two ship merchant convoy just south of Hong Kong that I had run across and I hit 18 knots at flank speed. Nice job.

long...............................pause

Sorry, Duece. I couldn't resist pulling your leg on this one. Veryhappy Too Happy

Hi Ducimus,

Thx for the mod! Great work! If you have a second I seem to have a problem with mapping key comands.

I usually play stock 1.5 (sometimes with some enviro mods), but have descided to give TMO a try. I play on a MacBook Pro running XP via BootCamp. The MacBook keyboard does not have a num pad, so I usually map TC+ to "ctrl a" and TC- to "ctrl z". In the stock version these are the lines I use...

[Cmd4]
Name=Time_compr_reduce
Ctxt=1,2,6,9
MnID=0x3F010004
Key0=0x5A,c,"CTRL Z"
;Key0=0x6D,,"Npad -"

[Cmd5]
Name=Time_compr_increase
Ctxt=1,2,6,9
MnID=0x3F010001
Key0=0x41,c,"CTRL A"
;Key0=0x6B,,"Npad +"

I have verified (with setkeys) that these are the code for ctrl+a/ctrl+z on my keyboard.
These changes work with stock 1.4 and 1.5 (and work with SHIII), but do not seem to work with 1.5 and TMO 1.5.2. Any advice on how to change the TC key commands would be very helpful!

Thx,
Wally

hhhmmmm....

Seems I also have some idiot on-board that just keeps repeating "Passing Thermal Layer" over and over and over... even when I'm surfaced. If I could find him I'd throw him overboard and make him swim back to Midway!

-Make sure those key commands aren't already being used elsewhere (entirely possible).

- Repeating thermal layer. Ive heard of it. It's a stock bug. I've never encountered it though.

Nope. I double chacked again. No other commands are using ctrl+a or ctrl+z (did a find for both).
I tried shift+a/shift+z and ctrl+shift+a/ctrl+shift+z and that did not work either. So I ran a test...

1)I disabled TMO 1.5.2 via jsgme

2)backed up the original commands.cfg to commands_bak

3)copied the original TMO comands.cfg from

E:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\MODS\REL_TriggerMaru_Overhaul_152\Data\Cfg

to E:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Cfg

4)added my edits

5)statred stock 1.5 with the TMO commands.cfg including my edits

and both TC+ and TC- worked with ctrl+a and ctrl+z.

Looks like something else is perventing changing these key commands. Confused

Is anyone else able to change these?

Hi Guys,

I've seen this: PE3 Ship_debris_SH4_with bodies
a coupla times, as well as the harbour reflections mods, etc which sound cool! I thought PE/ROW was included with TMO (I'm only just downloading 152 now so if its in there just tell me to butotn it Wink )?

Or do I have to download PE3 then pick these bits out separately?

I've tried a forum search but can only find the main PE3 links!

Can someone point me the right way please Smile
Thanks

Ash

Does anyone know of a clan that plays a lot of TMO 1.5 games ? I am in a clan already, but we mainly play SH3 with some SH4. There is one player who plays TMO, but we only tend to play it when no-one else is on - which doesn't happen very often.

This one is a bug introduced by the 1.4 patch. A little time compression and he shuts up.

Ash,

TMO only has parts of PE in it. There is a thread at SUBSIM that explains it all and has all the download links for PE 3 and all the optional Modlets. Linky

Just curious, if I install the uboat patch will I be able to play uboats with TMO Difficulty? or does it just make it playable in the stock settings as if I were playing uboats without any mod installed?

There is an additional file called Enable U-Boat Version 3 that has to be added out of the Support File within TMO. Or you can D/L it from Ducies' Fileplanet link. With the extra modlet you can play either career. I currently run both Fleet and IO campaign.

Ah sorry for confusion! Yes I meant that Enable uboat modlet. Does that neutralize TMO so you can play uboats or let you play Uboats with TMO Difficulty?

Uboats are really silly in the stock version I think, you can dive so quickly and become invisable to even late war patrols instantly.
