First of i want to thank everyone for the positive feedback on the mission editor. And as such i have some good news to all of those that are trying to build their own missions. Becouse of several requests for help i have been geting from people i have decidet to "Upgrade" the walkthru a little bit.

The main change for now is that i have replaced all the pictures that i have originaly added in the walkthru and replaced them with a step by step screenpicture walkthru and detailed information on the menu's.

As you will see in the top of the post, this is just one part of a walkthur in progress. What you find here is a detailed walkthru of the basic's. I intent to make a complete walkthru of all the features suplied by the mission edditor, and compile it into one download in an acrobat reader file presentation.

However, i will only compile the walkthru once it is completed. So befor than you will have to keep this post at hand.

Is you have any suggestions concerning the mission editor, please feel free to add your comments right here. Also if you have questions about the mission editor as is posted here, feel free to reply in this post. If you can not figure out what you are doing wrong or encounter problems witch are not noted in the walkthru please PM me so i might help you out any further.

Whisperer, your upgrade is first class. You have obviously spent many hours putting this together. I'm suggesting that when you get the final version put together that it be made into a sticky for both SH3 aand SH4.

I can not help you out on that point since i have not yet tried it my selve. But i'll see into it somewhere along this week. Ofcourese what you can do is create a mission for yourselve using the steps providet for the basic mision, and replase the japanese convoi for a Allied one and drop in a german sub. If you do get there befor i do i would like to ask you if you would please put your findings in this post so others canshare in your experiance. whisper

I am trying my hand at creating a new Quick Mission. Is it possible to see the sub pens, dockyards, bases in SH4 Editor Mode? Yes, they show up in the actual mission when entering the base and can also be viewed from the in play Map (F3). I would like to see them in Editor Mode as well. Want to start in the sub pen if possible! Help please! Thanks a lot for your mission walkthru. Great guns!

Alot of help.Do you know anything about adding traffic to the campaign? Could you perhaps do a tutorial for that as you did for single mission? Would be a lot of help.

I too wonder if there is a way to see location names and docks, pens etc, would make it easier in the ME.

Since all the info needed is in the pix, I was wondering if I could pack these up and put them up for download?

Hi Starforce

Whisperer has not posted around here since back in August. So you may have some trouble getting his OK to post his tutorial on the ME.

When you place a ship on the map, a properties screen pops up, you need to set speed and course and whatever else you might want and then click OK and the property screen will disappear. Frame rates should not apply when building a mission.

Could you please list your computer specs here.

BTW, Welcome to the SH Forums. Big Grin

He might not be refering to framerate, but rather a low frame. The properties window extends below the taskbar. I cannot click the buttons either, because I can't raise the winodw up high enough to access them. However I think the enter key automaticly does it. What sucks is that it alos collapses all the menu's every time you exit a ships window..
