Do we have a thread on this already? I don't think we do, but I think we should!
With a director as profoundly influential as Cameron, everyone should have a favorite Cameron movie.
Although I love The Abyss, I think I have to go with Aliens because it hits all the right notes for me: Sci-fi, tons of action, fantastic story, strong characters and great special effects. Of course, I'm also a sucker for Sigourney Weaver, so there's that as well, hehe.
So, what's your favorite Cameron movie? Bonus points for whoever has the guts to say Titanic, lol!

Just kidding! In fact, my response is almost identical to yours, Gabe. The Abyss and Aliens are the ones I juggle as my favorite with T1 and T2 so hot on their heels, they could nip'em. I have a really hard time picking between those four actually.
But, I'd probably have to say Aliens (Extended Version) as well, and I'm sure my wife would agree.
I'm gonna have to say Terminator 2, though Aliens and True Lies are close 2nds. He's got a great eye for action...wish he'd do some straight up action movies instead of taking 12 years off between films to develop Avatar.
Am I the only one who thinks Avatar is over-hyped? I don't really plan on seeing it unless it really hooks me in the next month. DOn't get me wrong, the visiuals look great...but the story seems obvious, and I'm no fan of Giovanni Ribisi and Michelle Rodiguez (horrible actors). The characters are so cleche too...I know he invented the cleche with Aliens (tough latina soilder, evil corporate head, crybaby wuss soldier, etc.), but isn't he copying his own stuff now?
