If you formatted your computer before re-installing Windows you will not be able to retrieve your rank. If you didn't format there is a file on your hard drive containing your rank. I am having a hard time finding the file but I am sure someone can direct you to it. Good luck.

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Its to bad you didn't have this bit of information about saving your "profile" to disk prior to re-formatting because its very easy to save it and re-store after.

C:\Documents and Settings\[YourName]\My Documents\My Games\Ubisoft\R6Vegas2

Save all the files in this folder and after you've reinstalled the game, start a new profile and then copy/paste the old files right back into this folder. You'll have all your original rank and gear.

The above solution works fine as long as you save the folder to another partition, hard drive, flash drive, CD, Etc!

If your computer crashes, and you have the folder saved on your C: drive and have to re-format, that saved file will be gone also.

You might want to check into a good backup program.
I use Acronis Tru Image 11 Home.

Before you make major changes to your computer, make a full backup of your hard drive . but make sure you save that image to a different drive or partition.

Even if you have a major crash and have to re-format and install Windows .. as soon as you are up and running, you can install your backup program and load the image of your original hard drive.

You will be back to where you were when you saved the image and not have to do all of the updates.

Just a suggestion that saves a lot of time!!
