I remember having discussions in these forums with Goliath before Vegas 1 was released. I would make a statement that there is no way a game without a map editor with 3rd person cover and health regen could be fun for old school R6 fans that want a strategic and more realistic FPS. He would make statements saying we needed to try it because it would still be fun for us.

Obviously, 6 million threads later I hope those involved with Vegas know how wrong Goliath was.

I guess I could accept some of the change if Ubisoft had fixed and finished at least Vegas 2!!

But it would have been nice if they had included some user options to setup the game for both styles of play.
That would satisfy both sides and would have been a win - win situation for Ubisoft!!!

How hard could it be to include an option to disable the third person cover system, and include some user options for health regen?!!

A working SADS including support for T-Hunt?
A map editor?
SDK?
Maybe a few more things that would have kept V2 popular today!!

It won't happen even if Ubisoft comes out with some form of Vegas 3 or whatever they decide to call it!!

If you are in Ubi Montreal, perhaps you could go visit the Ubi Montreal offices and tell us if they are going to do another Rainbow Six game. I really hope they give it to another dev studio though. Ubi Montreal doesn't know how to create MP code or AI...or test stuff...

It looks like my clan will be playing COD4 in hardcore mode with the ACE mod at least until COD MW2 comes out later this year. Thanks for ruining the R6 series UBI.

I am still watching Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising very closely!!

It appears to have much of what we have been asking for!

To even consider a new RB 6 game from Ubisoft would require they release a multiplayer demo!!

What ever happened to 8 player co-op?

Don't you think you are being a little hard on UBI Montreal? I know the devs are in here daily gathering imformation from the community on our request for a future Vegas. I am sure all of our request will be addressed in this future release. Better netcode,0 lagg, a larger co-op mode, map creator, and servers that don't crash hourly. I am also sure they will offer the multiplayer demo just for Lethal1940. I think I shall now stick my pistol in my mouth and pull the trigger for being so stupid. If I sevive UBI has a lot to prove before I spend another dime on their creations.

Lol...I like your sarcasm.

I would be happy to engage UBI Montreal employees in actual discussions if they had enough pride in their choices and products to show up here.

I have even offered to fly somewhere and have a nice, open, roundtable discussion. The ball has always been in their court and they don't just drop it, they toss it down a bottomless pit.

Ubi has spit in the face of their customers time and again, why should we not be hard on them? They insult our intelligence with the tripe that they release and expect us to play patty cake with them. Nothing doing.

But then again most big software companies
are just like Ubi they all from around 2002
till 2009 release buggy rushed out sequal

false promise's to just get a dollar for
a company without pride , morals and proper decent beta testing.

Questions to ask if another Rainbow Six game is ever announced:

On topic with the Subject of the Thread:

Would the game be fully beta tested in both a closed and open beta?
Would Ubisoft accept and listen to gamer feedback?
Would Ubisoft correct any and all issues found before release?
Would Ubisoft add content and options requested in the past and in user feedback for a new game?
Would Ubisoft provide options to satisfy both casual and serious gamers?
Would there be a demo for both single and multiplayer made available before release?
Would the game be finished and fully playable on release?

I realize there will always be some issues with bugs and glitches:
So, will Ubisoft stay around long enough after game release to patch any problems found, and actually provide customer support?
(And I don't mean Jason's canned response!!!)
Will Ubisoft provide real DLC to keep interest in the game?

Major issues from the Vegas series:

Broken SADS!
No SADS support for T-Hunt! (The most popular mode of play)
Broken Netcode!
Broken Ai!
No map editor!

I would actually consider a new RB6 game if Ubisoft would adhere to the above points and the many other concerns listed by previous gamers here!!
