I am opening this thread hopping to find a new and reliable way to play Vegas on line. I have grown tired of dealing with the UBI Servers with the lagg, and crashes.

So this post is wide open to any ways you have found to play the game without the above stated problems.

I know a lot of you people run dedicated servers for clan play. I am not near good enough to play in those matches. All I want is a good connection to play terro hunt. So please feel free to post anything you may have discovered. Thanks !

Hey Stryker!
As you know I posted some options I found in another thread that wasn't well received by the author of that thread.

I have been around the forums for awhile and have found the members here to be pretty much open minded when it comes to ideas, options, and opinions and are always willing to listen and share.
I have seen very few threads stay completely on topic!

That said:
I will continue to research and ask about VPN programs and post anything I find here.

Just remember that a VPN will let you bypass the Ubisoft master servers, but you are still connecting through the internet and gameplay will still depend on latency and how many hops your connection travels through .. to get from point A to point B.
You can check the latency and number of hops to any server if you have the IP.
(Or a web address)

You will still be dealing with 2 problems inherent in Vegas 2

There is no SADS for T-Hunt, so you are still playing on a Listen server and are at the mercy of the host computer configuration and their internet connection.

The netcode in Vegas 2 needs a lot of work and Ubisoft is not going to furnish any futher patches, so what you see is what you get.

If you like, you are more than welcome to transfer the links I found to this thread.

Maybe someone will find them useful and will be able to add some useful information on VPN programs, or even if they have setup a VPN with tools in Windows OS and what the results were.

Good luck!
I remember how frustrating it was to not be able to login for a Vegas 2 game, or even worse .. for everyone to be kicked because the Ubisoft master server went down ...Again!!!!

orangewalk,

I read your post on someone else's thread and decided to bring this one back to the top. I read with interest your working with LANoi. Lethal had posted it a while back as a suggestion so I opened this thread so anyone with suggestions could post without stepping on anyone else's toes. I was hopping to gather more responce than i recieved, but it is an open ended thread so anyone can post their testing with connections other than the sorry servers UBI is offering.

I haven't had time to check out LANoi yet but did print out your instructions for future use. So thanks alot for posting what may be something that will work. I am awaiting new releases that are looking real promising so if I get off my lazy butt I will try out LANoi before moving on to bigger and better things.

This is an amazing game with amazing graphics.I

bought this game and could beleive its graphics and

in depth story line.I used LANoi software to play

with my friends throgh Co-OP LAN mode.It was amazing

experince.I will post how to do LANoi to play
Today i am gonna tell u LANoi connection Method and

its unbeatable features.

If all have bought the game and found glitches in

online mode dont worry. We have LAN mode too.Tunggle

is not fast enough if u have tried LANoi and compare

it.LANoi is free but its main aim is corporate

companies connecting their offices through internet

faster and secure.Amazing they have gaming features

too.
1.Create Invitation file by clicking Invite partner
2.Any nickname and click Advanced button and type ur

favourite session name and in port configuration

textbox type this AR6Vegas2_Game.exe then click

add.Now u can see session name that u added.
3.Click Next select path for saving invitation file

and create a password for that file. Then click

finish.
4.Send that invitation file to ur friend. He has to

join by clicking join partner and ur password.
5.After Joining run the game and enjoy the speed
Why LANoi
1.Its fast becase game packets are tranfered

directly to ur computer unlike tunggle or hamachi.
2.Security is that in port configuration ur

specifing only game ports of that game to be used

without knowing TCP/UDP ports of the game your

playing.
3.Some router/modem needs port forwarding but in LOI

u dont need to forward ports.
4.Another added security to protect your system is

that only people who has password and invtationfile

can join.
5.Another important rule for all games is to make

sure patches are correct.
6.Last but not least it is the fastest but free.
ThankYou ....
