Hi, i purchased this game yesterday and after installing it have noticed this strange issue.
I have searched high and low on the internet but found no similar problem.. in fact i dont know if it is supposed to be part of the game.. i certainly hope not as it looks ridiculous if it is. Anyway, it looks like the models on my team mates in single player (have not tried multiplayer yet), have shaking heads and eyes. this is not a smooth animation of idle head movement, it is more like they are on crack or something, the heads and eyes jitter all over the place (but not the rest of the models, like body or hands). Has anyone else seen this issue? Any help would be much appreciated. System: Core i7 930 6gb DDr 3 Ram Gainward GTX 295 with latest drivers Windows vista 64 bit. |

Nice system Pryzm!!
Welcome to the forums! This game is very buggy, but I haven't seen the problem you describe, nor have I heard that issue from anyone I know. It sounds like a graphics issue, but it is strange that it doesn't affect the entire character. Have you tried playing with video settings in the game options? If you haven't done so yet, try updating to 1.03 and also install the map pack and Comcast Event map. You will need the maps if you do go online. Don't allow the game to auto update, that often creates problems. The links to the patch and maps are in the stickied threads. If you can't find everything send me a PM and I will get you to the correct links. I will see if I can find anything that relates to this issue and get back to you if I do! Sorry I couldn't be of help!! |

I have noticed such a thing, the phrase "on crack" describes it pretty good but if it is the same thing that I'm referring to I think its an animation to make the characters look alert or tense... maybe.

Might be irrelevant, might not...
The latest forceware releases for nvidia graphics cards have had loads of bugs... Try earlier forceware versions. 178.24 is probably the most stable, but 182/185/186 may all work without issue. It's odd, but some of them work fine for a week then completely screw up. Others work fine on one system, but not another... It's all a bit hit and miss at the mo. The reason it may be relevant? I've noticed on a couple of different games, (using the unreal engine, or not) where heads weren't rendering properly or had odd animation glitches when using the 190.38 forceware on XP. Worked fine on Win7 x64 RC though... Cheers Muffun |
