Hi. I had my wireless XBox controller working fine under Vista and with 1.03 patch thanks to changing the PCKellerJoysticks.ini file as described in these forums. Upgraded to Windows 7, tried same fix and not controller not working but game runs OK with keyboard. Tried changing DefaultJoystick.ini in the same way and tried changing both ini files. Tried changing the parameters in either [Joystick0] or [Joystick10] in the ini files, as described. Double checked my VID and PID and they were converted properly. Uninstalled and reinstalled game several times....deleted related files in my user profile in Windows and made sure registry had nothing in it under the game's name. Tried above after installing all 3 patches and after unistalling and using only third patch. XBox controller has current drivers, Windows 7 is up to date. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Xbox controller drivers. Any ideas?

Well, I posted my question above after working on the issue for hours, now it seems fixed. Here's how...For in PCKellerJoysticks.ini, I thought I'd try a PID number that someone else posted instead of my 1817...so I tried 673 and that worked. So...

This worked in Vista:

[Joystick0]
ProductName=XBox Controller HID Minidriver, XID
VendorID=1118
ProductID=1817
UseXInput=true

[Joystick1] ...

But this worked in Windows 7:

[Joystick0]
ProductName=XBox Controller HID Minidriver, XID
VendorID=1118
ProductID=673
UseXInput=true

[Joystick1] ...

And here is the Hardware IDs under "XBox Wireless Receiver for Windows" which is in "Microsoft Common Controller for Windows Class" in Device Manager in my Windows 7:

USB\VID_045E&PID_0719&REV_0100
USB\VID_045E&PID_0719

So the weird bit is, these convert to 1118 and 1817...same as they were in Vista, yet 673 needs to be used instead of 1817 in Windows 7. FYI, 673 as hexidecimal is 2A1.

Hope this helps...any ideas on what exactly is going on?
