This is really anoying me as well, ive just bought the game this afternoon, im in the UK and connection to ubi.com through the game keeps timing out.

I bought the game to play co-op with a friend but yet again wasted money and my time.

If UBI isn't gonna support a game, they should release a patch so that dedicated servers don't have to logon to UBI.com.

Game-spy comes to mind.

I hate companies who fiogure they already have your money and don't care about servers after that. The VERY least they could do is let you host IP to IP games with your friends, this is crap and I will wait one more hour before i throw away ALL UBI titles that I have and never purchase another game, they don't even have the decencey to inform you the server is down, they just lay back and wait for others to complain, and then do nothing about it except say "We had no idea but are currently working to correct the problem" absolute bull****!

This has been happening a lot lately.
Curse you UBI.

The problem on Vegas 1 was much worse than Vegas 2 .. but now it appears that since Vegas 2 is all but dead, Ubisoft isn't maintaining those servers either!!

It's really sad when a company as large as Ubisoft is unable to not only finish a game properly, but also can't maintain servers so those who did purchase the game can at least play what there is of the game.

By contrast, our entire gaming community has switched COD WaW since it's release, (Our promise fulfilled of not buying another Ubisoft title) and we haven't had one single issue with login or a dropped server.

To be honest, I would still prefer the gameplay in Vegas 2 if Ubisoft would have taken the time to fix this broken mess, fix the SADS and the netcode, and release some truly new maps!!!!

But .. as it stands .. COD5 is light years ahead of Vegas 2!!
Excellent gameplay .. Great netcode and it has a map editor.
I'm not saying there are no issues, but COD5 is so much more polished than Vegas 2, and I would be willing to bet it will be patched to fix any issues that are reported!!!

And there is a Nazi Zombi mode with an option for custom user maps for players who like arcade style play!
Campaign and Zombies can both be played in co-op .. 4 players .. not 2 as in Vegas 2 Story!!!
And there are already lots of very good Zombie maps!!!

Just out of curiousity, I checked for servers online in COD5:

233 co-op servers
2068 multiplayer servers.
Several were 50 player servers and were maxed.
And this is early Monday evening.

There are likely more servers and many more players for just this one game than in all Ubisoft games combined!!!!

That is the true measure of a sucessful game and also a sucessful game company!!!

yep,ubi server down again,more film ads no doubt,when what they should be doing is working on fixing this game! server went down during a game all players disapeared(lost connection) then after i logged out unable to log in again,why is there no server down message,or published maintenance sheduals,so the people (paying customers) know when it will be down??? was that asking too much

intermittently down all tuesday nite.. and its down now, wednesday, 1300 GMT


p.s. as much as i try not to flame, lethal mentions something interesing, yes, ubi spends alot of time making ads,videos,and hype, instead of concentrating on the product/support;
they are worse than the normal french, most euros know the french are arrogant, but the french canadians take the cake, if you put a sign up in english, it must be 50% smaller than the required by law french sign,, or you will be fined!! ,, so right there is an example that french canadian ubi does not speak/understand the same language of its customers,, a mod will surely read this.. but unless its translated to ubi, they wont read or understand it,,

This sucks. Happens too frequently.
