I think the real run 'n gunners already moved back to COD4. That's their game. Or they can be found on consoles? I don't know of course and it's hard to tell and this forum being mixed doesn't help either.
But I want to believe that beyond the PC gamers anyway, the majority wants Rainbow Six to stay a tactical shooter instead of what it is now. Time will tell when we check the results of the poll. I chose fast but tactical but what i really want is fast and very tactical gameplay.
Vegas with 3rd person cover is very slow and would be really boring if it wasn't for the music. By tactical I mean choice. What is so great about many games is the ability to be creative. The first person shooter market lacks in player creativity. This was one of the main reasons I like the original 3 rainbows so much. |

Health System:
I voted for Other. I would like to see a 100 HP system regeneration hybrid. That idea is too bold for current devs though, since they are making more and more games based on the intelligence of an 8 year old. The system goes as follows. If you get hit in an area that is not protected by body armor it takes away from the 100 HP base. Headshots are automatic kills, 100 HP hit. Arms and legs, take off certain percentages, also gunshots to the openings in the armor will take away HP. If you get hit in the chest while wearing armor the health goes down 25% per shot , you then have to wait to slowly regenerate health. Since you didn't actually get shot. You are, more or less, stunned. In that case regenaration makes sense. However on the 4th shot to the armor, you fall and you are downed with 10 HP left. If an enemy forgets about you and thinks you are dead then you can get back up and fight. Or if they know you are not dead, they can perform the coup de grace. Well thats my view on what a good HP system should be and I'm going to school for game design , so if these idiots at Ubi can't fix this game or at least make a decent one in the future. At least you peeps can rest assured that once I get in a position to lead a team to make a game. I won't make the silly mistakes that UBI makes catering to 8-12 year olds. |
