So, just wondering if there are any frequent hosts who still play this game a lot.

It's so hard to find a decent server with good players. All I get is 5 minutes on a server, 10k 4d, and kick or ban for cheating. It's absolutely ridiculous.

So are there really any decent players left? I know the game is basically dead, but c'mon, don't leave it to the noobs!

Ya know, I just can't stop playing this game no matter how dead it is. It has to be one of the most fluid multiplayer fps experiences I've ever had.

I guess I am one of those 25+ crappy players you are talking about (ELITE 39). When I first started playing I ran into people I didn't care to play with for one reason or another. I solved the problem with a list called "jerks and good guys(or gals)." Over the last year or longer I have met many people I enjoy playing the game with. So do your home work and find people you enjoy and game with them. I find it very hard to believe everyone playing the game is out to get you. I really do hope you can find someone out there do to the fact the game is dying a slow death. Good luck.

Fair point, I'm sorry. I came across as kind of woe is me or just a plain jerk. I'm really not, at all. However, I am extremely bitter at the moment because the increasing problem with finding decent servers who allow decent players.

Then some say create your own server - but that's the whole point, the servers would be very lonely if everybody created their own server.

Anyway, I'm sorry for coming across as a jerk. I don't assume everybody is out to get me and am certainly not ego-driven in any way, in fact, quite self-deprecating.

I guess instead, the list will be a list of 'nervous' hosts who question good players - they're peed off with hackers and question good scores for a good reason, hackers are destroying nearly every damn multiplayer experience on the pc.

I totally agree with you IeatBullets. There are to many oversensitive crybabies in this game. If there not at the top of there own server then they start kicking the better players. But there are some good people too. Try ETO Castle his server is always low ping and they are good guys they can take there lumps like mature gamers. They can dish it out too so watch your back.

Well, AST-Brother decided to put me on their website as a hacker along side some tencaious dude from [WAR]. Really quite surprised at how such an established clan can behave. I mean, ETO were founded from AST - I think I see why.

Personally, I don't like AST for this. It shows how immature they really are.

Maybe I shouldn't be taking this so seriously - but problem is, they've put my clan in their damn notification [BoX]. Can't imagine how erked some of you would be if they did the same to your emerging clan.

Any way, played with eto tonight (they told me about the notice) and everything seemed fine. It's very evident I don't hack - albeit I get very good scores like 38/10 etc but really, don't see how it can be proved I hack when I don't.

I live in Australia and so there are few good servers online and he's one of them. Then he started kicking my friends and when I asked him why he said they were cheating but I noticed a trend, whenever anyone kills too may times or is ahead of his team he will BAN them, what a crybaby.
Now he has started to kick me as well and accuses me of cheating, something I have never done and dodnt even know how to!!!
even though his ping was good for me but I will never play in his server again, he's a JOKE.
How sad can one be to kick good players so he is always on top, he thinks he is the best and whoever kills him is cheating LOOOOL.

Dunno about you guys, but I always used to take acusations of cheating as a compliment....

Its actually a sign of disrespect. The community is so small in rainbow six word spreads like wildfire. And when your in a clan those words can be detrimental. RS has fought those accusations for years in Vegas 1 and 2 it is far more prevalent in Vegas 2. We had to constantly defend ourselves to be able to enter any servers and stay for any amount of time. RS has had to constantly beat back those accusations and to be honest it wears on you. You shouldn't accuse anyone of cheating unless you have absolute proof. Its sad that cheaters ruin the experience for everyone. When you cant even be a good player in a game anymore without someone yelling cheat. Because a select few aren't disciplined enough to perfect there gameplay. Hey possible cheaters next time you think of modifying a file or installing a hack imagine if you worked at the game and actually became a dominant player. well he used to joke with me saying "stop cheating" "play fair like me" and stuff like that, I loled at him couple of times and actually said thanks for the compliment but the guy is an idiot and he only thinks about himself. if he is getting embarrassed by someone he will kick them. what a low life really. Its annoying when you are playing good and then he kicks you! I wish no body other than themselves join their server.

After reading the post from shangool20, i couldn't resit in replying. 1st of I'm AST-Brother from the Australian Swat Team Clan, Ive founded this clan back in 1999 and have been going ever since we have had a good based clan with a lot of respect from many gamers in the community. We try hard to run a cheat free server so all can come in and have a fair play game, we strive on that,as all of you are aware that in most cases that's very hard to accomplish, (AST) & (ETO) have worked hard together to make this happen, and has proven great success in most cases.To answer some questions from some disappointing players that have posted in this topic.

1st: [BOX]IEATBULLETS was a "misunderstanding" where now me and [BOX]IEATBULLETS have spoken like mature people, and have resolved the issue.

2nd: Shangool20 and his immature response has not made 1 attempt to resolve anything just sent a nasty email if he was a respectable player and a decent player like,ieatbullets. He would have come to me and asked for a chat, and I would have been more then happy to accommodate him in this matter. Shangool20 and his group of friends,like Xaroos,Alooxex, and Shangool20, on so many occasions have played in the AST server and in those times so many kills that they have made are very questionable. Things like shooting through walls, taking you out with auto aim, how i know this is Ive had kill camera on in kill house one day he shot me from side A side in the side alley he killed me while I was on the middle catwalk going to b building, then the kill camera focused to where he was three 3 seconds later he comes out of the side alley in plain site, I knew then how was it even possible to kill me from where he was. and my answer is its not possible at all. 2nd" he shoots you and he faces the other way, this has happen so many times. I know for a fact its not lag all the time, 3rd he can shoot you while reloading explain to me how that can happen. Shangool20 has regrettably forget to mention those things while he was replying to you all here in the forum, now this is not just coming from me. theirs been players like silver,yefrigin,frenchie,bensam,undercoverkiller,and more players, that's said the same thing about shangool20, id be more then happy to have them post a reply on what they witness about shangool20 in the server. also to his additional response to I add good players so we can win all the time that's a joke in itself, we have 11 AST members, so shangool20 would like to what exactly, move AST members to bravo team to make him happy. We have a clan for a reason, we train 7 days a week for a reason,If Shangool20 took the time to view my ****ty site. That I'm so proud of as he clearly stated. he would see the kill stats that I take every day, and upload to the website so everyone can see our progress, and most of the screen shots, you will see excellent players in the bravo team getting 70 kills onwards, it seems that Shangool20 has neglected to share that with yous.

All I have to say is shangoool20 and his so called honest friends, get a life and stop bitching about honest and good players that try hard every day to make a difference for all players in the community, get rid of the hacks you have and play fair and honest, then you will be respected as a person, as a gamer and by other clans. If you continue to do what you are doing then you are heading down a wrong path.

I am General Twisted|:|çT|:|Dragon and alongside Brother Admiral, have worked long and hard to build the Australian SWAT Team into a clan that is dedicated to the precepts that Bro and I adhere to. Honour, Respect, Dedication and Loyalty.
Any honest person who has played on an AST server will be able to tell you that they were given the exact same respect that they offered up to us. To view the posts on THIS forum that disrespect both the clan and the founder personally is a cheap attempt by people of questionable integrity to pretend that they a)do not cheat and b)even know what honour is.

My response to shangoo20, responing to his admin email to our site Nov 2,2009 pointed out that nobody had accused anyone of cheating but that there had been game chat complaints of LAG and had shangoo20 and his friends been paying attention, they were kicked out for high ping. This reply was to his volitile, rude and profanity filled email - a copy of which is available to anyone who requests a copy.
Now I read on this forum nothing but severely caustic vitriol in regard to how Brother runs his servers AND STATES THAT HE WAS KICKED FROM AST SERVER SPECIFICALLY BROTHER'S FROM NOV 2. He was not on brother's server. He was on a Canadian Server with a 10MBPS download. Yet one more fact that a whiner who is trying to prove himself innocent of something he wasn't accused of forgot to mention.

SHANGOO. Your actions on THIS forum lead me to believe that you are probably more guilty than I had previously given you credit for. Be a man. Withdraw your drivel, suck it up, be a real man and come to our server with just your guns, your kit, and your guts. Or come in as you always do. Either way, AST will win the match 9 times out of 10 because we have the discipline, the strategy, the fortitude, the stamina, to stand up against all comers whether they are hacking or just damn good players.

Let me start by saying Thanks to AST for hosting their server and allowing me to play when I first started playing Vegas 2, I probably played more than 30 times on their server with no problem and actually me and AST-Brother became good friends but it started to go wrong when I realizes he was kicking people in my team, that were killing him and his team a lot and causing them to lose. Also my friends who we occasionally play vegas 2 online told me that he kicked them and when I asked Brother why, he said they cheated, which is ridiculous to say the least as we are not experts in vegas I only started playing in early 09 and if anyone played me knows how crap I am compared to other good players. Also my friends are not that pro eighter, we dont do training, team work practice etc lol.
when he kicked my friends numerous times an my friends could no longer play in the server I was playing I was very annoyed but I kept my cool and still kept my good relation with AST and played without my friends in their server. But recently he started telling me "stop cheating" "be real man and honest" ingame and I answered him slowly like a joke, and thanked him for the compliment but when he banned me from the server I realized he eighter has psychological problems that he doesnt want anybody better than him or he is just mistaken that I cheat!
I was insulted when he banned/kicked me because he thought I was cheating while I knew I have no idea of cheating and even if I did I would never do it to ruin the game for everyone and myself!!!
I dont care the decreiptions you say that MAY be caused by auto aim or something because I always play by myself and FFS its a game anything can happen.
Bottom line is, I and my friends never cheat and you are just a sore loser for kicking us so you can always win the round without any competition( this in itself is quiet sad because other mature and professional players I have played with always balance the teams and the scores reflect that.

Now if you kick me because of high ping, thats a different story. But why dont you say something??? How come we played so many games before but the ping wasnt a probllem??as soon as I got better and started analysing your movements and killed yo more often you started kicking me.....
Kicking and banning players like that because YOU THINK THEY MIGHT BE CHEATING, is a serious crime lol. imagine yourself, if you get kicked by someone for continually playing good and killing people faily but he thinks you're cheating, its annoying.

regardling the email I sent you, it was clearly out of emotion because I believe you guys just want to win the game at any cost even if kicking innocent people!!! so you can post screenshots of your scores and show the world that you have won so many times AST, but in actualy fact everybody now knows you kick people liek this and win games like a coward. sorry to say it man.

It seems the only one with any sense to flame wars is StrykerN so Kudos to him. But anyways, I'll get right on to what I want to say.

Now, in every online game, you have hosts. A hosted server is like someone's house. If your not invited or have been un-invited then your not welcomed, no matter the reason. So excluding all the complications with who is a hacker and who is not, AST-Btother has every right to set the server restrictions, kick whoever and not provide a reason. If you don't like it, its simple, don't play the server.

Now adding the complications of hacking to the equation; not every hack can be detected by PB, that is why they have to update. And there have been hackers in the pass who have played the AST server. If we are suspicious and you are accused of hacking, then just be understanding. If you have a problem, a personal problem, be mature and talk with the person personally. Shangool20 should have talked to Brother personally instead of spamming our AST emails and starting flame wars.

Lets all get this straight, AST-Brother has a right to his server and nothing anyone can say can take away that right or should. I've been playing with AST-Brother since before I joined AST and during that time he often kicked me just so he can make room in the server for the present AST members. I never complained because it was his server. I never said he was a bad host and I completely understood his situation.

AST-Brother's server is one of the better servers which attracts many players. If you think you can find a better one, then ur welcome to do so. otherwise, go away, simple as that.

You know whats funny btw, we've had guys complain (including Shangool20)about the server, and then the next day, they join the AST servers again... Those people have some nerves and are completely immature.

My suggestion to Shangool20 is to pay 100buks a month for a good internet connection and host your own bloody server. And when people accuse you of being a **** host, then look back onto what you've said to AST-Brother and see if you were right.

Anyways, to recap if you don't like AST-Brother's server, even though he is spending his free time to make a server and run a clan, don't play there.

AST doesn't owe anyone anything, not even an explanation. Were all good fair players and if anyone is to blame anyone, its the hackers and the abusers.
