ubisoft had a great floor show on E3. but why the hell does it suck so bad when i try to play multiplayer on vegas 2? i'm in bakersfield, ca. hour and 15 min away from LA, and the lowest ping server for T hunt and versus is 300+ what the hell is wrong with that?

i dont think i will be buying anymore ubisoft games as well, vegas 2 is a great game but needs to be worked on, lobby needs a hell of a remodeling. look at counter strike source, they have a MASSIVE COMMUNITY and the game is crappy looking compared to this game.

Nah, it's just the game log in server being down, no conspiracy, it's effecting all Ubi games, I can't get online in any of the Ubi games I own, apart from one, and that's because it's a closed beta, and not using the normal servers.

omg i so glad im not alone! I got vegas 2 a good few monthas ago and never really played it and tbh forgot about it! then 2 days ago i decided to give it another try! i installed the patch and made a new accout! everything was fine(except i wasnt that good) then today(or yesterday? seeing that i went on the computer near to midnight!) i was hoping to play online again! but that "FAILED TO INITIALIZE NETWORK SERVICE" came up! i tried everything thinking i screwd with game some how with the patch! i even uninstalled and re-installed it but too no avail! after reading some of these messages isee theres nothing to worry abou!
EXCEPT UBISOFT SHOULD FIX IT, INSTEAD MAKING NEW COMERS TO THIS GAME (LIKE ME) FREAK OUT AND THROW THE DISK OUT THE WINDOW!!!

so i guess im not the only one. not sure if i should be happy or kinda upset about the "failed to initialize..." error. just downloaded the game 2 days ago myself thru steam (friend said it was a nice game) and all day been trying to Login but getting that error. so is it because UBI's servers are down or is it something else?

No, the servers are down, and you would think they would be able to automate a message about that, they auto add other content, it would just be nice to have them alert us to an internal problem .... saving lots of people from reacting in ways i notice here in thread.....
On another note!!!i have an Hamachi server going .. if anyone wants a LAN game Server is:AussieReg p/w:r6v2 ... just a thought ...

A simple thing like a message within the game,yes it would not be that hard to have built into the game,but this is ubisoft,they don't give a sh*t about their customers,.....

looks like they are trying for a record in server down time,it's been down since 19.30 gmt yesterday,and not even any official message as yet,not that such message would be accurate or informative as to if and when this server would be back online ect,ect,nearly 17hrs offline so far

Phew, and I though something in my system ****'d up. Hope they can fix it soon. I wanna play some terrorist hunt with my buddies.

That is the disasterous result to Ubosoft's lack of concern for it's games and gamer base!

Players think it is a problem on their end. Uninstall and reinstall the game, try different versions of drivers, and I have known several in the past to go as far as reformatting their hard drive thinking it was problem with their computer!

This has been going on for years .. not hours, days, weeks, or months .. so it is obvious that Ubisoft has no concern for their products or gamer base!!

When you have any problem running an Ubisoft game .. go play something else . the problem is likely not on your end!

I am not trying to bash but I just don't understand. You two seem thrilled by something that we should have been guarenteed when we took the game out of the box. This is totaly unexceptable on UBI's part. Think of all our hard earned dollars they have collected and they don't care enough to keep the servers running. The least they could do is notify people if they are going to be shutdown for matenance. I guess at the moment sever issues are on the top of my most hated list. Give me five minutes and the lagg issue will climb it's way back to the top." NUFF" said. Thanks for letting me vent once again.

SERVER DOWN(OFFLINE) AGAINWhy don't you just admit it ubi,this method for interconnectivity sucks bigtime, yes i'm ****ed as over the last few days the crap server has spent more time down than up!!!I for one will never buy a ubi title again that is no threat it's a promise,and i would urge all the other players to do the same,zero support,zero information of anything that will afect online play,and for how long or kiss my ***,I'm giving some serious though to wiping this game from my hdd as without online play there's no point it being on my hdd,also you have ripped us all off with a server that is obviously not fit for purpose,(i bet if we all had to pay to access it it would be up more of the time)not that you would sell as many games,

You are finally starting to get what Ubisoft is all about!

We have been dealing with this and many other issues for 2 years at least!!
Vegas 1 was just as bad!

Many have begged Ubisoft to provide direct IP or some other form of online play if they can't provide reliable servers .. but it isn't going to happen.

Everyone has paid for games they can play only when Ubisoft decides to run their server.
Or restart it again after it crashes ... again and again and ...................!!
