I was a rainbow six 3 raven shield player.
I bought rainbow six las vegas 2, installed it, and begun to play...
I'm french.... as a french, it's well known we're not reallly good at speaking other languages..... but, my game is installed in spanish, as I can speak 3 languages.
thought, each time an update is done, I have to uninstall and install again the game, as the updates are done for a french game, but my one is installed as an english one.
it's a pity.... and even a shame.... people say french are not good at speaking other languages.... but I have no choice but installing the game in french.... Because I can't just prevent my game from launching the automatic updateµ.

Thanks UBI for the automatic update.... but if you don't know how to make one in the good way, just don't do it.

Sorry for the updates, but as I just reinstalled my game, and have a 100Mo update to do, I'm just gonna play another game....

Another time, thanks ubisoft for publishing games we can't use the way we want, and more, half made games, as anyone as internet now and the updates can be done easily..........

Sorry NXS_Psychowiz I was feeling sorry for myself for being abanded by UBI. I guess some people have it much worse. I am so sorry to admit but us arrogant Americans feel everyone should speak English. I know I am going to catch a lot of flack for that statement,but truth is truth. As you see I don't always just slam UBI. I am an equal oppertunity slammer..lol. Just saying you may be doing yourself a favor moving on. As if you have read the forums the game has so many holes in it the blood is flowing. Hopefully from UBI also. And they have no one to blame but themselves.

I believe if you goto the install folder and launch the game from the Vegas_Game icon instead of the Vegas_launcher icon, you can skip the auto update process.

@StrykerN : I don't want to launc an endless discussion. But I'm sorry, I can't agree with you. If the game was published too soon and has not been fully tested and qualified, think the better thing to do is to release the game in english only. My game selects french installation by default and so are done the automatic updates... So, if I install my game in english, I'll have the same problem... without a doubt...

Download and install the patch before you launch the game.

Or .. If you want to test before updating, cancel the auto update and dowload and install the patch later.

I have installed V2 on several systems in the past, and never used the auto updater. but I always downloaded and installed the latest patch before running the game.

Also, don't forget the map pack and the Comcast Event map.

Thanks for all for your replies.
I uninstall and reinstalled the game several times, looking for a way to avoid this kind of problem.
It seems RLCSeMPeRFi was right.
You have to install the game, install the fixes one by one, and never again launch the automatic updater.
It seems the automatic launch of the CD has a problem too of the same kind
Nevertheless, now, I can play my game in spanish.

PS : I still believe that the automatic updater has not be done in a good way and should be corrected
