Hey guys, what's up. I got Vegas 2 recently and as soon as I started playing it I noticed something rather alarming; when I try and aim around a corner and blow someone's head off (like I could in the original, and it was awesome) my accuracy is all messed up and instead of an instant head shot I spend most of my clip trying to nail the guy. Does anyone know if this can be fixed and made like it was in the original? Thanks
You also didn't mention if this happens only in Online play, or single player also.
This is a known problem online because of the horrible netcode in Vegas 2!!
If it is also happening in single player, then you have a different problem. Try double tapping your trigger button. Continuous fire causes muzzle rise.
No I'm not talking about blind fire, and it's only relevant for single player, 'cause in multilayer there's no marker to signify were your reticule will be when you peek around a corner--actually, while were on the subject, I found blind fire in V2 was more accurate than in the original. What I'm talking about is your reticule when you first aim around a corner (or over a crate) it doesn't allow you to get a instant head shot even if the marker is sitting over the enemies head, and I was wondering if there was a mod that could make it like the original.
I think i know what you're talking about. I make up for this by aiming slightly the other way, E.G if i'm turning left, then I aim slightly right of their head
Yeah thanks guys; I guess I'll have to accept the fact that aiming around cover in Vegas 2 will never be as cool or as affective as it was in the original... what a shame.
It's also a big annoyance on realistic because the bad guys don't have to wait that extra half a second before getting a bulls eye--so what happens, I aim around, my first five bullets miss him, he spins around and caps me in the head so fast that the animation doesn't even compute the speed and his weapon should have really hit the wall to my left. And what gets up my nose is that all this accuracy tampering and the bad guys being tougher wasn't in the original; the only difference I found between normal and realistic in the original was the amount of punishment you could take before you died and this was fine, it made everything more tense and forced you to be careful and at the end of the day it was still fun but as you can guess, I don't think Vegas 2 on realistic is very fun at all... I wonder if Ubi has heard the expression, "If it isn't broke, don't fix it."
It's simple, you're aiming is bad if you're having trouble. I don't have any problems at all. Maybe get a better mouse with a higher dpi or a bigger screen.
I didn't play the first on the pc much, but if it was any easier, it would be TOO easy.
Guys listen, its not when your moving or shooting from FPS veiw. Its when you take cover in third person, put the thing thats there instead of your crosshairs over a badguys head and hold down either W,A,S,D to peek around, but when the marker turns back into your crosshairs its big and you have no accuracy. In the original game when you peeked around cover to shoot your marker turned into your crosshairs and you had full accuracy, it made you feel a lot more badass and it was way cooler then having to put up with a second time delay to pull of your headshot. It's not really a problem, its just really annoying. Why would Ubi wreck something that was so cool?
i understand what youre saying. but i havent had that issue.
This is what you're talking about, right??? - just a real quick vid i made just now to confirm. see? i dont have a problem. sure the crosshair is up and to the left just a bit but still it scores a head shot. ill try and get a couple more vids of varrying distances and a couple scoped shots. if anyone jumps into my R6V server. lol
of course if you dont like the default setting you can change it. lol
Don't Get Pissed At Me. If I Didn't Point Out The Obvious, Someone Else Would.
Umm dude, that vid was of Vegas 1, I don't have any trouble with V1. My problem is that I would like Vegas 2 to be the same, and I was wondering if there was a setting or mod that could do just that.
Try and do what you did in that vid in Vegas 2 (especially on Realistic) and when your bullets miss your targets and their bullets hit you in the face without even aiming their weapon at you, you'll have a pretty clear description of the problem.
That vital half a second that you have to wait is a real game breaker for me... I wish it were the same as the first one.
