Whenever I join a server, it keep goes back to main menu of rsv2 and saying "THE CONNECTION TO THE HOST HAS BEEN LOST"
I can't join any server.I been try joining like more than 20 servers, and they all are like that. And even, the server is still up. The host is still running it, but I keep getting this message. I've reinstalled, and even restarted my whole new window.

If you can see the games then the problem might be your firewall.

I have also noticed it happening when I use a p2p program and I forget to close it before playing.

Check your firewall settings and see if there is another program using your network connection and close it before playing.

I tried reformatting my hard drive (restarting window), uninstalling more than 5 times. And still gives me problem. I even tried turning off the firewall. But it works on my brothers laptop. I used to play rsv2 on my laptop and it worked perfectly fine, but now its not working when I installed rsv2 on my bro's laptop to compare my laptop against mine. Can you tell me a reason why, rsv2 dont work on my laptop but my brother's laptop. We both use the same internet in the house.

Are you both trying to connect with the same Key?

If you connect one computer and then try to connect with a second computer using the same key, the first computer will be disconnected.

yes. i only have 1 rsv2 and 1 cdkey.
the two computer used the same cdkey. One computer is turned off or sometimes on for work purposes, but not gaming. So while this is happening I turn my gaming computer on to play rsv2, and says THE CONNECTION TO THE HOS HAS BEEN LOST. We both have the game in two computers with same cd key. but while ones using its the other is turned off or not playing rsv2.

Hello Im Having the Same Trouble I cant get online at all ivbeen trying for the ast day or 2 but still no joy im the only one useing the online key and also have turned setting off on my fire wall and allowed everything through for this game. is there any other tips???

i got the same prob but the game is on 1 pc. i tryed disable firewall on off, opening as admin, trash and reinstall the game with path 1.03 since 1.06 wont install..

only option left is opening ports in vista but no idea how since i did not had to do that when game worked in mp, now its been months it dont work in mp.

1.03 is the final patch for Vegas 2.
1.06 is for Vegas 1, so it won't install.

You shouldn't have to open ports to play the game .. only if you want to host.
Ports are forwarded in you router, not in Vista.

Make sure you don't have antivirus software or another program blocking your connection.
