There are many here who play the game so question is why there isnt a dedicated server?

There are dedicated servers for versus mode, but not for Terrorist Hunt.

For T-Hunt, the only way to get a good online game is to host your own server.
But then, everyone else will get lots of lag so expect complaints and players dropping out.

I play T-hunt all the time, the only mode i play in fact. Join my server, NinjaWrath.

You guys might want to contact some of the big Australian game providers to see if they might be interested in hosting a server for their clients.

I know internode and a few others down there do it for other games.

I would be more then happy to give you guys the anti-crash dedicated server fix and point you in the right direction on how to configure it.

The highstakes mode fix is also available on these forums through another community member (you'll need to search as I don't have that link handy).


The problem right now with Vegas 2 is the fact that it started to enter it's end of life period this time last year when UBI stopped supporting the game, responding, or giving anyone answers.

They're more focused on Console dollars (as most devs are these days) do to the fact it brings in more dough and requires less effort even though the end result can never achieve PC Gaming standards.

I currently run T-hunt from home now and again if we have enough interest at OLDr, with a few more members having the game I am looking to our current server host for our COD servers and so forth to maybe get R6:V2 up and running for a while, but need to find out exactly what files the server needs to have, if it's the entire game directory I am not worried and will upload it.

I'll bookmark this thread and if I remember keep you guys updated, the server is normally called Online_Dawdlers.
