Please list your system specs.
Did everything pass minimum requirements? |

Hi Leathal1940
video card :- 1 GB XFX GForce 7300 CPU :- 2.80 GHz 1 GB Ram Windows XP pro With SP2 (build 2600) and the Detection showed that all my requirements're good and i went to the option and i saw that all requirements are high i change it to the worst requirements so that i can play it but it stay black and freeze, no problem with the hardware or software i don't know where's the defect i think that my copy is the cause but i'm not sure |

Go to this web page and run a test on your system. Google "Can you run it". Put your disk in and highlite Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six:Vegas2. Your CPU may be your problem, the minimum is 3 GHz and you are only running at 2.8 GHz. Also you are running only one gig of ram. Though it says thee game will play with one gig many people have problems. Vegas2 is a graphics hog and that may also lead to your problems. Lethal1940 may be able to pull a trick out of his hat to help you, but if you want to play it looks like new computer time.
StrykerN. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. |

Hi StrykerN
let's talk clarity you want me sell my pc and buy another for hell damn game just one game i don't think so i was have a 4 Gb CPU but it burned even the motherboard type albatron and video card which it was 1 Gb too Gforce 9100 i'm unlucky i lost my best PC and get the worst PC in all of the world but don't worry there's a little development in it 1- the screen changing from the black into green and there's a black circle in the top of the right 2- my pc begin restarting itself after freezing and this's the big development |

What CPU are you running alchalabi?
The minimum requirement does say 3GHz, but it depends on the CPU! Most Intel core 2 duo's will work. I have seen the game run on slower clock speeds than yours. Athlon 64's of 3000+ will also work even though they are clocked lower than 3 Ghz. I know someone running V2 on a 3700+ San Diego = 2.2 GHz Some things to try: The 7300 video card is a weak card. Make sure your drivers are up to date: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_186.18_whql.html Make sure you uninstall your old drivers and delete the Nvidia folder on C: drive: (I always uninstall from device manager) Set resolution and other settings to low. Turn off AA and other video options. (Looks like you already did this) I have seen several systems that wouldn't run the game with 1 GB of memory .. even though it should. Upgrading to 2 GB fixed the problem. Go to system configuration .. startup and uncheck everything except maybe your anti-virus. You can always enable them again later, or run programs from the start menu. Download Microsoft Direct X redistributable. http://www.microsoft.com/downl...0F616&displaylang=en Save to a folder. Run the downloaded file and extract all files to that same folder. Open the folder .. find and run this file: DXSETUP.exe That will only update as needed. I have seen this correct several graphics and some audio problems. Keep trying until you find something that works! Good luck! |

alchalabi,
First of all I didn't mean to offend you by saying to buy a new computer. I suggested "can you run it" as a starting point to show the weak points of your system. You are trying to run the game at the very bottom of all the recomendations. Now you can follow Lethal's advice and may be able play the game (Slim chance I think). But if anyone can get you going it will be Lethal. And by all means I would not buy a new computer to play Vegas2 because the game is NOT that good to begin with. So in conclusion I wish you the best of luck. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. |

Hey Stryker,
You are correct in that this is a low end system for gaming. But since his system passed the detection tests, it should at least run .. although I would guess it will not be smooth even on low settings. The systems I am aware of that are running 3700+ Sandiego CPU's also had GT 7800 and GT 7900 video cards. Both of those cards , though outdated, are much stronger than the 7300. I built both of those systems a several years ago, so I would guess they are both overclocked also. It's been too long, and too many systems ago for me to remember for sure, but I normally do a medium overclock for performance, but not so high as to raise temperatures excessively. |

HI Lethal1940 & StrykerN
1st Lethal1940 you must read more careful i said
2nd the detection show that all my requirements're high and right so where's the wrong it doesn't show the my CPU's wrong or low 3rd i'm going to change my damn PC to another 4 GB Ram CPU 4 GHz Video card 1 GB GForce 9800 type XFX until i finshed all of my exams but thanks for your understanding both of you |

I guess I didn't understand your post totally, but if you read my last post, I did mention that your system passed the detection test and should at least run Vegas 2!
It wasn't a put down of your system, but rather to point out that low end systems can run the game. The previous post was suggestions to try to see if you could get the one you are using now to run Vegas 2! Where did you find a 4 GHz CPU? I can't seem to find one. (Unless user overclocked) These are the only ones I can find on high end: http://www.newegg.com/Product/....0GHz%20and%20higher http://www.newegg.com/Product/....0GHz%20and%20higher http://www.newegg.com/Product/....0GHz%20and%20higher |
